Had my mom here for a couple months- if you love your family do not put them in this facility. They’re dismissive and neglectful. I spoke to a woman named viola she screamed at me over the phone then hung up in my face. Took my mom out of this facility immediately

My mother has been a resident at the cottages for 2 years. She reports that the staff are kind and very generous. The entire facility is very clean and well managed. My mom is genuinely happy and always well taken care of. I can recommend the cottages without reservation.

The Cottage North and South are committed and dedicated to offering personalized support to each resident. Each facility has expertise in addressing the needs of residents with cognitive disorders. The amazing staff including myself makes sure that the people who have lost all or some of their autonomy feel safe. The warm, friendly, and family like atmosphere makes them feel like they are living at home. The daily fun activities , services, and comfort offered help maintain the independence and serenity essential to aging well. Everyday, as an Activity Coordinator for Divinity Hospice, I enjoy making a difference in their life and seeing a big smile on their face. For sure, they enjoy the weekly live music, dancing, singing, bingo and different games. If you have a love one who needs special care I would highly recommend The Cottages.

It has taken me nearing two years to write this review regarding this facility. This facility has an interesting dynamic – management does not know how to speak to their employees or diffuse or handle situations “professionally”. I observed while visiting on several occasions the way this specific facility is ran and I would not recommend residential stays whether it be respite or long term for your family member nor individuals seeking employment. I have had family in other facilities, and I know it is hard at times with staffing and things can at times go undone, but this place has no recourse. The director and her team play a façade when you first admit, and that charm and professionalism goes away. I have heard their employees’ discussing things about situations they have been in and seen first-hand the hostility from afar. I commend the hired hands that are working to try to facilitate the best they can for the people living there and us as families trusting that our loved ones are cared for. I hope this review helps anyone who is in question of The Cottages of Chandler Creek in Round Rock, TX.

My Mother was at the Cottages for 1.5 years. They were attentive and those caregivers that got to know my Mom showed devotion and compassion. The Executive Director, Maryjane, knows how to run a memory facility. She is very involved with the residents and extremely responsive to family. I loved the activities that were planned as it broke up the monotony of the day to day for my Mother. They hosted some beautiful parties that were such fun and festive. My Mom was always clean and she enjoyed the food. Her room always spelled good and was clean. She had 2 cats and several staff members really took to them and helped to clean their litter boxes and feed them. When you are placing a loved one, no place is perfect - even home with a full-time caregiver. What makes a difference is getting to know the leadership and the staff and making frequent visits. The Cottages truly became part of what I consider our family. We will miss seeing their faces and their love and care.
