My mom has been here 2 months recovering from a broken leg after a fall at home. She has dementia and had been cared for by the workers as if they are her family. I am here almost every day and the facility is always clean and the workers are very respectful to my family and especially to my mom which is all that matter to me. I ask a worker when I came through on a tour how long she worked here and said 10 years and these people are her family. That’s all it took to decide to bring my mom here.

typically don’t provide surveys or rate services but this rating deserves mentioning. I’m talking about the Courtyard of Sterling Heights Assisted Living and Memory Care. My wife has been a resident there for nearly 3 years and I’ve visited her nearly every day. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication and compassion they care for the elderly who has the dreaded illness of dementia. The caregivers are polite and courteous and go out of their way to make the residents comfortable. If your loved one requires 24/7 care, I encourage you to consider this facility. For those of you who think this is just another job, I challenge you to try it for a day or week. I guarantee you’ll appreciate the dedication

Mom has been a resident since April 2025. The care staff is amazing! They ALL treat her as if she is their Mom or Grandma. 😊 The facility is very clean, the staff is professional. The food is quite good and if she wants something different to eat it is provided. The management is incredibly receptive to any concerns or suggestions. The activities are varied and appropriate for the residents. I am very happy we found such a great home for her.

Courtyard The hardest thing I ever had to do was to find a place to take care of the I loved, my dearest wife, Chris..This place had to have people I needed to trust and rely upon to provide for her care. Three years have passed since that day I've placed her at the courtyard. I truly believe that my faith led me to the Courtyard. Chris, and I have been surrounded by some of the most beautiful, dedicated women and men who provide for her care, The staff and workforce, although they have had changes over this time, are all hard working and dedicated to taking care of the residents, This is not an easy job. It takes a special person to clean up after people. Not only are we talking about bathing, dressing, feeding but also the rest of our hygiene that comes with, that including toiletry. I consider the staff and all the workers {my angels) part of my extended family. I include them all in my prayers every week for what they do for Chris and me. I need to highlight just a couple more items, #1- housekeeping. The staff is extremely good at what they do. The apartments, dining room & common room are always spotless #2- the food and the presentation of the food, it's like you would get in a restaurant or at home. I've tasted a lot of the food and it's always very good. #3 -the Event planners. An event calendar is provided for every month. There are many special events planned throughout the months. These events are not only good for the residents but also for us, the caregivers and our families, to be with our loved ones. #4- The Wellness Director, Becky- Very professional and dedicated. Always talking to the residents and keeping them at ease. Should you have questions and need to get ahold of her she's always available. If for some reason she's busy you leave a message on her phone, and she never hesitates to call you back when available. #5- Maintenance- Anytime I had an issue for something needed to be fixed it was done in a very timely manner #6- The Care staff. A beautiful group of professionals dedicated and responsible to providing their very best care for our loved ones. Matthew and his staff are extremely helpful from my initial meeting, the very first day entry (brutal day for me) and throughout this whole journey. Although these last three years had been the hardest years of my life I can't even fathom what it would have been like without all the help I received from all these beautiful people at the Courtyard. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking my Chris. Blessings, Russ

So glad we moved our Mother here in April 2025! The staff is very caring and treat her well. On tour we asked about cameras in her apartment and were assured it was not an issue - we have 2. They are NOT to monitor the staff, but to monitor Mom 😊 The meals are good. We can even join her for meals for $5! If resident don't like what's on the menu, they can get grilled cheese, pbj, etc instead. Want to sleep in? No problem! They will still get you something to eat for brunch 👍 They bring snack and water around in morning and afternoon. Is everything perfect every day? Of course not - but no place is. The employee here actually CARE about the residents. The activities are geared towards dementia patients, somore enjoyable for her. This is a small facility and more hands on with the residents. Apartments are 2 rooms - way nicer than others we looked at! We were able to bring her own furniture and hang things on wall to make the transition easier.
