I want to be very specific in saying that my 100-year-old mother has spectacular care from a three or four people at Coventry. HOWEVER- the administration of Coventry’s mother company (Trinity HealthCare), goes above and beyond to be DISRESPECTFUL and UNCOMMUNICATIVE. It is virtually impossible to reach upper level administrators, and when you do, they are fabulous at giving lip service with no follow through. I have a plethora of complaints with the gravest being that my mother was left in her room on the second floor with no staff, a broken elevator, and locked access to stairs (though she would be incapable of using the stairs). I could not reach anyone at Coventry or BelleMeade, and had to resort to calling the Southern Pines fire department, who went there immediately and demanded that staff be available at all times. I have researched what is considered to be standard care in such a facility- and though we pay over $4000/month, my mother is not getting that standard of care - specifically help getting dressed in the morning. We have had to enlist the assistance of a third-party company that is paid by my mother. Is it a coincidence that the offices of this third-party company is within the Trinity’s campus? I am not writing this review as a first attempt at amelioration of the problem, as I have tried to resolve issues following all of the traditional means. The straw that broke the camel’s back is when I filled out a long in-house complaint form through Trinity Health Care (mother company), which was rejected because of a “problem with my email address.” There were absolutely no typos in the email address. It was just one more time that an attempt to communicate with Trinity was thwarted. It’s no wonder that the company had such a low rating.
