THE DELANEY AT SOUTH SHORE

One of the hardest decisions you will make is putting a parent in a "home". My father is capable of taking care of himself so we needed independent living. From the moment I was greeted at the front door I had a good warm feeling Dad would like this place. Heather was very genuine and took whatever time needed to answer any questions i had. Dad has moved in and went from not wanting to go to loving it. The accommodations the people and the activities, he has joined in them all and feels welcome and happy and even loves the food. Dad at 98 is happy, made the right decision!

My husband and I made an appointment for a complete tour. Our goal was to secure enough data to present the pros and cons of the overall services and premises to my husband’s parents. We spent over 2 hours with Heather Kmetz, the Residency Counselor, and were provided with extensive information accompanied by physical visits to resident rooms to see the different floor plans. We also visited all of the social areas, dining areas, craft, movie, games, and workout rooms. The outside areas were well kept and inviting. In addition, Heather provided us with a list of their specific services, costs, and brochures for 3rd party help, if needed. We were extremely satisfied with our meeting and delighted to have spent enough time to witness lunch and the happy faces on all of their residents. The residents were truly comfortable and cared for by experienced and nurturing staff. This appears to be a great organization. We will interview one or two more elder facilities but at this time I told my husband The Delaney At South Shore was so nice I was ready to move in too!!!

The Delaney is a caring well maintained facility, with a staff that really attends to the needs of its residents. I've been here about 3 years or so and I can only say it's exceeded my expectations. It's well appointed, has good food and activities for all.

I recently moved my 80 yo folks into the Delaney. I did a lot of research into Clear Lake area homes with their nurse and I’m very confident we’ve made the right choice. My dad has Alzheimer’s so finding a place that not only looks nice but has the right staff and approach was very important. Early reports from my parents and nurse are very encouraging. They’re reporting that staff is very nice and attentive, the community is spotless and the services are well-run.

I couldn’t be anymore satisfied with the Delaney! The caregivers have been nothing but amazing to my grandma that is there. Seeing them make her smile is all I need to know about her being in the best care around. The care alone makes all the difference but I have a clear peace of mind. The community is nothing less than beautiful. The food is also amazing and I love how many events they do to include all the residents. Her apartment is spacious and gorgeous as well. It’s a perfect place to consider!
