The Elms of Lynchburg

My cousin is staying at The Elms in Lynchburg and we have been very pleased with the nursing care she has received. The staff are so friendly and are happy to address any of your concerns. The facility was very clean.

The Elms is a wonderful community! Friendly staff and a high level of care for residents! Very beautiful facility and very tidy! Staff interactions with residents are as if the residents are their own family members and you can see that at all times! :)

When you first walk in the door, you are pleasantly greeted by staff who are diligently working to provide quality care to the amazing residents who call The Elms of Lynchburg their home.  The building itself may be small, but it is filled with big hearts and lots of love, with Cory Ross, the Executive Director, being the heartbeat of this place!  Cory takes a hands-on approach, never afraid to help as needed, with an enthusiastic and positive demeanor.  You can tell he truly loves his job, but he loves his residents and staff more.  You will often find Cory helping out in other capacities like grounds keeping and/or serving families during holiday events, while still prioritizing the resident’s interest and needs, cutting jokes with staff, or coming up with fresh new ideas or opportunities to further support the desires of the residents and staff alike.  He strives for a home-like feel, by ensuring The Elms of Lynchburg is a safe, comfortable and familiar environment for the residents, with cozy seating areas for socialization, thoughtful décor, and events and spaces designed for hobbies and activities.  I would highly recommend The Elms of Lynchburg for anyone who is considering a home and family-like assisted living environment for their loved one(s).

I do not have any experience with this facility. I do have a wonderful review for Cordell Purvis He helped me with my Mother when she needed temporary long term care . He went above and beyond to help us with any questions we had. He checks in with me to see how my Mom is doing, after she had been discharged to her home. He will definitely help you in any way he can . Thank you again Cordell , you are the best!

I went to the Elms last week and toured with Cordell Purvis. He was very knowledgeable, understanding and answered all of my questions. Everyone greeted me and also said hello when I walked in. It was like a family setting inside and the staged rooms are very nicely laid out so you can see what you can and cannot bring for your loved one. I hope this helps others looking into assisted living for their loved ones.
