The Gardens of Statesville

Please do your research before admitting your loved one to memory care here. This place is probably good for people who can do for themselves. I have not had good customer service here with my mother due to the fact that the 2 resident care coordinator’s that work there told me not to visit my mother during dinner hours. My time was very limited due to my work schedule and I could only get to see her around 5:00pm or later during the week. Every time i walked in the door either one of them would stare at me and say rudely “what are you doing here, you know you’re not supposed to be here during dinner time”. This is totally against a resident’s right. Any family member should be able to visit at any time. My mother is in memory care, not in jail. I’m so glad I talked with the Executive Director about it. This was very unprofessional and very rude. PLEASE FAMILIARIZE yourself with residents rights and read all of them or they will become very bossy and try to interfere. The PCA’s are the best I have seen in Statesville. They are very considerate and very friendly to both me and my mother. The medication technicians, and the resident care coordinators tend to be overly bossy and don’t display good customer service at all. I wish I had never considered this place at all.

My Mom was here for less than a year, but the staff there were great to her. They kept me updated on her, and called if there were any issue. I lived 2 hours away. Cyndi and Michelle and their staff are the best!!

My mother has been a resident at The Gardens for a couple years. The staff is absolutely wonderful....like family. The meals are great. The facility is very clean. Updated. Great activities. The therapists there have done a wonderful job with my mother. I take comfort in knowing my mother is at the best facility available. A big thank you to The Gardens for keeping everyone safe through Covid.

My mom has been loving here since March. The team at the Gardens has been nothing but awesome with our family and Mom during this pandemic. They have done everything to make sure residents are not only staying safe and healthy but entertained the best they can. Mom and other residents have their nails and hair done, limited activities but they are still happening allowing them to feel special while missing family and friend's. Each person receives daily activity packets, small group bingo etc. We are kept informed constantly either by phone or email. Of course we can not wait to hug mom again but knowing she is Safe and loved by this awesome team makes our hearts happy.

My mother has been here for almost a month, she simply loves it. You can hear it in her voice, see it in her eyes, and feel the joy she has. The most exciting thing for her is that there is always something to do. The activities are going on morning to night, every day. The love, care, compassion and concern is visible by all staff members. I thank God every day that she had found a place to call home. I truly recommend this facility for your loved one to call home.
