The Homestead Senior Living

The Homestead sets the standard for senior living! My father needed a safe, comfortable place to live and fortunately this was our choice. Initially dad resided in Saint Anthony where James and Kellie communicated well and really showed dad love from the time he moved in, until his passing. They even checked in on him regularly after his condition made memory care a necessity, which meant relocating him to building 2 in Rexburg. Lauren helped us feel confident and settled throughout dads time in memory care and its clear she genuinely cares for those residents and has their best interest at heart. We were also fortunate enough to see the love and compassion of the caregivers in that building firsthand. We would like to thank Anna and Matthew specifically for the love they showed dad in his final days. I wish I had written names down because all of the wonderful caregivers deserve recognition. We would also like to thank Tyler for his assistance throughout dads residency, specifically when he helped facilitate a bucket list item by bringing his personal horses to the facility so an old cowboy could interact with his favorite animal 1 last time. If you are a senior or have a senior loved one needing a safe place to live where love, comfort, and compassion are what you seek, look no further.

My husband and I have been here at Homestead for three years and have loved our time here at Homestead. The people are so kind and helpful. If we have any kind of problem they are here to take care of it. We can recommend Homestead to anyone looking for this kind of facility.

I have worked with many care homes. Homestead offers a completely different philosophy of healthy aging. Their approach is more "What's on your bucket list?" They help seniors achieve goals important to them in the later years of life and offer a large number of social and extracurricular excursions. The fact that care graduates from assisted living to skilled nursing to hospice without moving locations is amazing. Their room service (including 24 hour ice cream delivery) and onsite spa (which caters to disabled clients) provide added comfort. The facility looks more like a luxury hotel than a care home. Rooms are spacious and can be completely personalized. An incredible value for the money, with very compassionate, caring and attentive staff. The whole team took excellent care of my father until he passed away.

Homestead is more than i ever imagined in the care of my mom. Everyone gives prompt, professional, loving care to my mom. she is so happy! The activities are wonderful and aplenty. Thank you Claire. Everyone goes above and beyond. The caregivers are exceptional! The house manager and nurse are available at all times. i’m so grateful for Homestead Assisted Living!

Are you considering helping a loved one move into The Homestead or moving there yourself? You will not find a better assisted living facility anywhere. We have had two family members at The Homestead, one in Rexburg and one in St. Anthony. If we could give a rating above five stars we would. The secret to The Homestead’s success starts at the top. The extended Thueson family that owns the facility genuinely cares about each resident, their family members, and the employees. They are in business to serve others. The caregivers and other workers show the same compassion and love. They treat everyone like family. The activities are amazing. My brother-in-law has been able to participate in outstanding excursions: zoos, safari parks, tram rides, snowmobiling, tubing, fishing, and many other great trips and parties. The staff go out of their way to meet the needs and desires of the residents. My mother-in-law’s hope was to take a horse-drawn carriage ride to the local chocolate shop. Sadly, she was never healthy enough to make the trip, but Tyler Thueson had told her that when she was ready, he would make it happen—no matter the season. If someone has a wish, they sincerely try to fulfill it. The Homestead really is as good as it sounds. Take the leap. You’ll be glad you did!
