The Landings of Oak Island

We were blessed to have my mom live at The Landings of Oak Island. The food is good. The staff work extremely hard. The care here extended my mom's life, she looked better in a matter of weeks. Justin interacts well with the staff. When my mom broke her hip and came back on hospice I was amazed with the care.

We feel very lucky to have found The Landings for our Mom! The staff at The Landings is friendly, responsive, living, kind and caring. Her caregivers take great care of her! Mom loves them! She has adjusted well since moving in a month and a half ago. She is laughing and joking again! The Landings has given her the ability to make her own schedule, to do what she wants to do, to speak up for herself, and given her people to talk to that are her age. If I could give a 4.5 score, I would. 😊❤️

I had a meeting with the ED Mr Justin he was incredibly helpful and able to answer any question that was asked, I can not recommend the Landings of Oak Island enough if you need a safe, comfortable, and loving home for your loved one!

Words cannot express how grateful I am for all of the staff at the Landings! Anytime I had any questions, Justin or one of the many employees took the time to stop and talk with me. Every day I enter someone always greeted me with a smile and Mandi always asked how I was doing and about my mom. Whenever I wanted to make a change to the room, it was no problem and Nick was always there to help. My mom loved all of the nurses, Amy, Nelli, Liz, Kelli, Trisha and I could list so many more, she always told me how wonderful they all were to her. Her favorite time was mealtime, she got to sit with her group every day and she loved the food. They gave everyone plenty of food and it smelled delicious. Unfortunately my mom’s time came to an end and I will always be grateful for all they did and how they helped me get through a tough time. I will miss going to visit not only my mom but all the others I got to know during our time at The Landings.

My Therapy Dog Molly and I have been regularly visiting The Landings since last summer. The residents are lovely and the staff is amazing. It’s a fabulous facility with big open spaces and tons of windows. I’m amazed at the activities occurring on a daily basis — games in the courtyard, bingo, crafts, movies, musicians, the walking club, the weekly hair salon — just to name a few. All of these contribute to the well-being of the residents (including my visits with Molly 😊), and it shows.
