TO ALL THE PEOPLE THAT’S LOOKING TO BRING THERE LOVES ONE’S TO THIS FACILITY YOU BETTER THINK LONG AND VERY HARD BECAUSE COMPANY DOESNT GIVE A DAMN AND NOT EVEN SOME OF STAFF I WOULD CALL BY NAMES THAT NOT EVEN Necessary Was Just Without HEAT Water For 10 consecutive days news people was called AND IF YOU THINK YOU’RE GONNA GET A TRUE HONEST FROM THE ED YOU ARE SADLY MISTAKEN BECAUSE YOU BETTER OFF, KEEPING YOUR FAMILY MEMBER AT HOME IF YOU’RE GONNA PAY FOR A EMPTY BOX THAT YOU GOT TO DECORATE THE COMPANY DEFINITELY AIN’T GONNA DO NOTHING TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE SOMETHING, ESPECIALLY IF YOU GOT A LOVED ONE THAT’S GOING TO MEMORY CARE AND IT LOOK LIKE A SILUANE WAR LIKE THEY’RE IN A MENTAL INSTITUTION GRAY WALLS WITH NOTHING FOR THEM TO DO BUT WATCH PRICES RIGHT Specially, when you got MED TECH given their Medication early before time and this does not apply to all the med tech And when you got staff workers that are double briefing the residence and that’s Against state regulations, specially, when the workers are trying to force these residence to do something that they do not want to do against their residence rights is definitely against state regulations Before anybody goes to put their loved ones in a facility, you definitely need to know the resident rights when it comes. You need to contact STATE and not just listen to the ED or any of the staff members check on the STATE website. And look at POLICY AND PROCEDURES WHEN IT COMES TO DIFFERENT FACILITIES BECAUSE IT’S DIFFERENT GUIDELINES FOR ASSISTED LIVING AND SKILLED FACILITIES

This facility was by far the nicest building we toured when looking for a place for my mom. We were really impressed with the size of the rooms and dining options that far surpassed other buildings in the area that were much more expensive. My mother has been extremely happy since she moved in and the building staff has been wonderful and communicative.

This facility is one; if not the one facility I’ve been to over my 8 year span several states and facilities in Healthcare that the staff takes pride in every aspect of the work they do! I’m currently in Hospice Care I’ve been to the facility quite a few times and I’ve always felt welcomed comforted in knowing any reports concerns etc regarding patients were handled appropriately as well as in a timely fashion! Not everything is clear cut and loved to everyones standards but what is right ? I’m always positive in saying the residents come first there! All in all GREAT JOB The landings of Swansboro staff

Please don’t take this review lightly as it has taken me weeks to formulate my thoughts. As the only living child for my elderly mother, I take my responsibility to care for her seriously. I researched high and low to place her at the best facility we could possibly afford. The brochure, the sales pitch, it’s all so perfect! But it is far from it! My mom has only been at this facility a few months but even in that time I’ve seen the RAPID decline of the quality of care, food, housekeeping. Little to no activities (because corporate let the activities director go months ago and still hasn’t hired a new one). Literally every aspect of this place! There are some staff members who are amazing and go above and beyond but the problem lies with corporate!! They tie the hands of the local management and then force them to deal with the backlash. I wish there was a better option for my mother that I could afford.

When this facility opened a few years ago, our family placed our father there. The facility was beautiful and the staff was so caring and kind. My dad eventually passed away after 16 months and now my mom is there. Unfortunately, since January, Affinity Corporate took over. They have attempted to develop a “ Universal staffing plan “ which has never ever worked. They have fired staff one after another and the good ones who are there don’t stay long because they are severely overworked and underpaid. The facility is no longer clean. They are severely shortstaffed all of the time. They have not had an activities Director for months and they don’t seem to really care about their residents at all. They have also had a 12% increase this year which is horrific so we are paying more for less. Their response to any reviews is the same broken record message that they are here and they care but when you call, you can’t even get them to answer the telephone. If we could place our mom somewhere else, we would do that. I would not recommend this facility to any family.
