THE LODGE AT LUTHERAN HAVEN

My sister is currently a resident in the renovated section of Assisted Living.The staff were so accommodating to provide a tour and expedited the entry process. She is in a beautiful room and the lobby and halls look like a fine hotel. The care is excellent due to the friendly, caring staff. The Physical Therapy provided is superior! My husband received great therapy after heart surgery as an out patient. The PT staff gives professional care to each patient. The facility is well equipped to care for multiple needs of physical and occupational therapy. We are grateful to Lutheran Haven!

I'm fortunate to live nearby and able to visit my mother regularly. I've gotten to know the staff - therapists, nursing, social, kitchen, cleaning, and administrative - and have found them to be engaged, resident focused, and friendly. More importantly, after being hesitant to move from the familiarity of her house, I know my mother now feels the same way about living at The Harbor/Lutheran Haven.

They advertise "comfortable and affordable retirement for Lutherans since 1948." I don't know what it was like in 1948, but in 2024 it's the antithesis of comfortable because they don't deliver on promises to care for your loved ones, including but not limited to not fixing broken appliances. And it's definitely not affordable because the price of frivolously wasting precious time left is immeasurable.

Both of my parents as well as my mother-in-law live here. It has been a wonderful place for them to live, where there are all levels of care. What is priceless is that they are able to continue worshiping at St. Luke's Lutheran next door, where they see children, families and people of all ages. Truly a Christ-centered place to live and serve.

Beautiful campus. Great Community. They host a Fleamarket twice a year and all proceeds go to help people that are in the nursing home. The campus has lots to offer to their residents and their guests. They have a pond with fish and turtles, Horshoe toss, shuffleboard, community garden, meeting hall with pool table, card table, and ping-pong table. They are about to start construction on multi story condos near the nursing home.
