My mother went into Mira Lea the "active lifestyle " community in appx 2013. Mom passed in 2023. Just now can I address a review Food was great for the first 5 years 2013 -2018, then went very downhill to a ditch. Supposedly the apartment would generate some income after her death. But as of now 3 YEARS LATER January 2026 THIS APARTMENT STILL HASN'T SOLD I've emailed and even got a realtor and lawyer involved. The Masonic Home sells. "Contract of care" NOT REAL ESTATE. SO NO RECOURSE IS AVAILABLE BE VERY WARY OF MASONIC HOMES and all associated "real estate" Their promises DO NOT MATCH REALITY At present am trying to get media involved to spread the word.

I just had had my 2nd stay at Masonic Homes & I can't say enough about their commitment to making sure you recover stronger than ever! My first was recovery from back surgery 9 years ago & the second was recently from heart surgery. When the question came up on where I want to go after being released from the hospital, I said Masonic Homes of course! Luckily there was a spot for me! The staff was compassionate & caring, always willing to help me with whatever was needed. I can't recommend this home enough to those who need care in a home atmosphere. I got what I needed & that was lots of TLC. ♥️

We arrived and also (as a previous review stated), we’re not greeted by anyone for 20 minutes at least. Then, the nurse came in immediately check off the box of doing a skin check. My Dad has a large wound that requires special care and I insisted that they not look at it or remove the bandage bc wound care had just changed it. The next morning I arrived and the bandage was removed and his wound was wide open. I was mortified. They also didn’t seem to have any understanding of his needs when he arrived and didn’t ask either. He was a serious fall risk and they had no idea. The communication in the facility was horrible. Beyond bad. F++. The nurse, Cinthia, was the only bright star in the facility. She was kind, compassionate, caring and a great communicator. Unlike the social worker who I called 4X and she never returned my call. My Dad was in Walters House. Very disappointed with this facility.

For the past 2 years,I've offered monthly craft classes with an amazing group of fun creative ladies. We share stories and have so much fun.Love the leadership Kevin Swansey provides for me.Very caring attentive staff. They work very hard to provide activities for their residents.I once had a resident tell me "If you can't be happy here, you can't be happy anywhere "Senior living at it's finest!
