The Meadows at Silver Maples

I first learned of Silver Maples more than 20 years ago when I was working as a hospice nurse. I had never visited a facility that was so light, bright and cheerful. The Residents seemed so very happy whether they were living in independent apartments or in assisted living. The staff were friendly and cheerful, and seemed to deeply care for the Residents. Fast forward 10 years, and my parents and my mother-in-law were ready to move to a retirement community. I took them there for a tour of the indepenent living apartments. They were quite impressed, which was good, because this was the only place that I would consider for them. Within 3 months, my parents and mother-in-law were next door neighbors. My Father passed away within the the first year. My Mom and mother-in-law had 5 years together before my mother-in-law's death 5 years ago. Mom is still going strong after 10 1/2 years here. She has many friends. She enjoys the many activites available to her, especially the concerts. She loves the staff and feels like they are family. I am so happy that my Mom is thriving. Silver Maples is a gem among retirement communities. One big factor is they are a non profit which means any profits they make have to be used for the betterment of Silver Maples, it's Residents and staff. I believe this attracts staff who are dedicated to caring for their Residents. Everyone from the CEO on down is committed. I am so happy that my Mom is living and enjoying her best life at Silver Maples

My parents spent close to twenty delightful years at Silver Maples. Their lives were rich with activities, music, friendship, and the commitment of the amazing staff. We could not have asked for a better environment for them to live. My wife and I are so impressed, we’re planning on Silver Maples for our retirement, and I’ve joined the Board of Directors!

Silver Maples sets the bar high for retirement communities! It's a lovely, well-maintained facility that offers many options in a quiet, peaceful setting. And there was a "family feeling" in the people that I met on the tour, both staff and residents. What's not to like?

From the moment I walked in the door, I experienced the staff as people enjoying working at Silver Maples. Their interactions were warm and upbeat. Gem showed me an example of a room in independent living and the cook discussed how my food allergies might be accommodated. All my questions were answered and I left feeling like Silver Maples is a place I could enjoy being part of.

We recently moved my grandfather into Silver Maples. The staff has been such a blessing to us during a very crazy transitional time. Everyone has been cheerful and willing to accommodate our requests. And both staff and residents alike have been kind to my kids (who are admittedly a little too excited to be on their best behavior regarding "walking feet" only in the halls). We are really grateful for the wonderful experience so far.
