Unbelievable! Since my first unfavorable review a week or so ago there has been a flood of positive reviews. She solicited the new reviews to try and bury the truth. The administration immediately spoke to the family asking them to have me take the review down because he feared they would kick his mother out. My first thought was the administrator acted very unprofessional and unethical. My second thought was she knows that everything in my last review was true and more than likely there was even more serious neglect yet to be to found. I have been a caregiver for over 30 years. I have worked in various facilities and have worked privately by referral only for the last 15 years. I have been documenting and taking photos of everything that proves neglect since the first day I walked in that door. Unfortunately after a family has been caring for a loved one for a long period of time at home they tend to become complacent once they are free of full-time care. I have enough documentation and photos and will be filing a formal report with Health and Human Services of Texas. I will also be contacting the three owners in Rowlett. Then I can put this to rest and know I did everything in my power to do the right thing. The family has since requested that I not visit the facility I am sure out of fear of retaliation for their loved one.

We have experienced kind, compassionate, and professional care at the Oaks at Liberty Grove. Things are never perfect for your loved one when they have to live away from home but other facilities we've experienced don't come close to the care given here. I’m so grateful for the peace of mind and dependability this community provides our family.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Oaks at Liberty Grove. From the moment I walked through the doors, I was greeted with warmth, compassion, and a genuine sense of care. The staff goes above and beyond every single day, making sure residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. What really stands out is the personalized attention. The team takes the time to get to know each resident, tailoring care to their needs while still encouraging independence. It feels more like family than a facility, and that peace of mind is priceless. I am truly grateful for the love and dedication shown here. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one will be cared for with dignity and kindness, I wholeheartedly recommend The Oaks at Liberty Grove.

I have a loved one that has been there for around 3 months. I really truly wanted this to be a great place. I tried to give it every opportunity and a benefit of doubt. I went to visit on various days and at different times of the day. Hoping at least one shift would be doing a good job. I spoke with nurses, the front desk and even caregivers and physical therapist about my various concerns. Nothing has been up to standard. A doggie daycare takes better care of their clients than this facility. Staff is lazy, incompetent and an LVN will even lie to you. Something as simple as getting support hose put on someone whose legs are obviously very swollen only to be told by the LVN on duty that we need a prescription! I told her in all my years in healthcare I've never come across this. Her reply was "this facility we need a prescription." I immediately went to the front desk and inquired and was told no that this was not true. On a Friday after 5:00 you'll find all the caregivers down in the back of the facility having their own little get-together. I advise you if you love your family member there are so many other good places. This would be a great place to put it undercover caregiver or staff member so that whoever owns this place can truly see what danger they're putting are seniors at risk!

Our mother was a resident at the Oaks for over 2 years (until she passed), and we were pleased with our selection. The Director tries very hard to ensure that the residents are well taken care of, in a safe environment, and that any issues are investigated and dealt with in a timely manner. The Activity Director does a tremendous job of engaging residents and providing a lively atmosphere, with a variety of activities. While there has been a big turnover of caregivers, most of them were very kind and caring — and some were phenomenal. The kitchen staff is outstanding, providing 3 good meals a day, and working very hard to accommodate any special dietary restrictions. The on-site PT/OT therapy team does an excellent job of engaging residents and helping them get stronger. We don't believe that any of the assistance living facilities are perfect, and family members need to stay involved to ensure their loved one is being treated as expected. We did install cameras in the second year and wish we had done so sooner. It is knowledge — and it provides visibility to both the good and the not so good.. We were able to provide praise (and feedback to management) regarding some of the more outstanding employees. And the minor issues that we experienced were dealt with immediately. Overall, we would recommend the Oaks and have no regrets about our choice.
