The Orchards at Armada Village 1

I enjoyed the staff that was there. I had a lot of staff take good care of me. But there is always 1 bad apple. I was in there for physical therapy rehab. I thought I would get more. Although when I had physical therapy I loved it. I felt good afterwards.

My dad was recently a pt. at the short-term rehabilitation (The Orchards, Armada, Michigan). From the moment I walked in I has reservations. The Director of Admissions was rude became disinterested once I stated I had picked out another assisted living facility for my dad. When I questioned why assisted living was a lock down facility her answer was obscure. The facility smelled. The rooms were small and dirty. In fact these pts have no where to sit that is comfortable except where they eat. My dad sustained a bed sore during his 20 days. The pts are not moved enough. The facility itself is older and space is a concern. The staff is tenured but extremely rude and short tempered. My dad's personal belongings were missing which included new clothing and a travel bag. My concerns were not addressed in fact I was totally ignored by Sherrye Woelkers. My dad was ignored . Now we have a stage 2 wound to deal with...they simply are not moving the pts enough. The physical therapy dept was excellent in fact the nursing staff, Director of Admissions and social worker could learn alot from the PT staff. BTW- it took almost 5 days and several calls for someone to fax my dad's records to the new Homecare facility. I would not recommend this facility. They are in need of more space and updating so pts can be safe and comfortable.

The Orchards took care of my mother while she was in hospice with Bay Nursing. Im extremely grateful to both. They went above and beyond to make my mom comfortable in her last days. They listened to every concern we had and always made time for our questions. I would highly recommend both The Orchards and Bay Nursing. Wonderful group of people.

The Orchards of Armada has wonderful staff. They truly care about the residents. The housekeeping staff do an amazing job keeping the facility clean and smelling great.

The staff at The Orchards truly care about their residents. They treat everyone with kindness, patience, and respect. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, and I always feel at ease knowing my loved one is in good hands. We are so thankful for the compassion and professionalism shown by the entire team.
