Don't take my word for it -- Check the DSS site for the inspection records! Out of 7 separate inspection dates in the past 2 years, there have been serious violations on every single one. My family member suffered needlessly because the facility was not adequately staffed, staff did not answer calls for assistance, they did not administer medications as prescribed, and the entire establishment was just not as advertised. There were NO events, despite having a "calendar" posted in the lobby filled with events. The hair salon was not operational at any point. The building is beautiful and has a lot of potential, but they just do not have it together yet. NOTE: The parent company is in Ohio. Please do your due diligence before choosing The Regent for your loved one!

Hello to everyone I am ken Turner first I want to say a special thanks to this wonderful community and I want to see a special thanks to Mr Eric him and his staff is outstanding him and his staff will go out the way to help me and be there for you I thank God because when I first found out about this place I was in the nursing home I meant the first young lady she came out she talked to me and she was understanding about my health Care need and she was outstanding this is why I picked this place and I'm glad I did when I got here I had a wonderful apartment I meant the nurses I met the healthcare staff and they were truly outstanding that I must say this when I got here I meant one of the maintenance guys I've been knowing him for years we did the type of work doing security and what the school together in Williamsburg Virginia and we serve in the military and we get along very great activity staff is outstanding the cafeteria staff is outstanding but I must say this if you want a community the care so much for you this a place to come I'm telling you it's truly the best the assisted living that you want to live I promise you my experience that I have it without spending so those are looking at the review you have to bring your family member here guarantee you it'll be the best and I have to rate this community with five stars that it is one of the best community I've been through a lot of them but I never ever been treated with the utmost respect some community will look at you because it's color of your skin this community don't some communities you may be black yeah look at you like how can you afford them this community down and I never ever want to have to run into this again but this community give me everything I wanted into a community and I promise you I don't have to look no more and you don't have to look number please choose this place you will love it

With my experience with my brother being here,was the worse mistake Innovage pace.have ever did by putting my brother in this place .looks beautiful from the outside and inside but the service.terriblle,the care,,the cleanliness terrible, Communication poor,the food could be better. please keep check on your family members at all times.They are always,short staff. Management sucks.tour guide,unclear as to what she is doing.and who she is.and unclear as her position,things she is say and do appears to be something ,she is not . Bathrooms are unsafe showers,water runs all over the floors,Easily to fall .and check all paperwork,and documents.rules and regulation can been changed after being in facility,so keep up with all paper work and dates and medical and persons medication taken by love ones.Always short staffed employers,doing 3 or more jobs such as being the cook,house cleaner and activities Worker..Please Becareful as to your families care.And also being illegally evicted.Check also for badges,to make sure you no who is who . Again beautiful place but things are not what they appear to be.This is as of January 16,2025 and now on going changes march,2025 up to now .pay attention to everything period..

We moved mom in last month and have since found out why it was so easy to get in They are understaffed and emergency equipment doesn’t work or “off line” “batteries dead” “with another resident”. Three of the excuses we received when my mother wasn’t able to get assistance when needed She fell once trying to go it alone The other times she called family members to come over. The family arrived before the in-house staff! The facility has the trappings of a nice place It’s sad that it hasn’t been as advertised The “pamper Tuesday” when they can use the salon to get hair done is a fantasy/sales pitch only

I just wanted to say that this is a great place! My uncle is currently there and there has been a wonderful change in him in the short time he has been there. The staff is great, he said that the marketing director dropped a Father's day gift bag off on Sunday filled with his favorite snacks. It is definitely the little things that matter and they are definitely taking great care of him. If you have a loved one that is looking for assisted living I would suggest Regent of Newport News. I can not say enough great things about this place.
