The Retreat at Cary Corner

The Retreat at Cary Corner truly is an exceptional facility. I have had the opportunity over the past few years to see first hand how much Tara and her staff care for the residents and treat them as family. This is a wonderful facility that provides unmatched quality of care. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a family care home for their loved one to look no further and reach out to tour the facility!

I have had the opportunity of observing this operation since it was first established. Tara is top notch when it comes to the care of her residents. Her staff is the best I could ever hope to have care for a loved one. I am not a candidate at this time but when I need care in the future this will be my place of choice. I pop in when in town just to visit and get to know the newest staff member and residents. I have celebrated birthday's, holiday events, wrapped gifts and helped prepare special dishes for these beautiful residents. I’ve accompanied them to picnics the State Fair and Tara always puts them first above all else. Their safety and care is the reason she does what she does. My mom spent the last year of her 98 year life in the best place possible with Tara and her staff at The Retreat at Cary Corner! I can't thank them enough for the AMAZING care they provided. This small family style home is so perfect especially for someone with memory issues. The staff is extremely attentive and genuinely loving. They take care of all the necessary things but also do so much extra like keeping her well groomed and well entertained! They kept us well informed of any and all health related information. My siblings and I would show up at all times of the day or night and the house was ALWAYS spotless and at meal times smells so good with yummy homecooked food. This place is nothing like the big institutional place that we moved her out of... it is sooooo much BETTER! I'm convinced she lived longer, happier, safer and cleaner at The Retreat. The staff truly treated my mom like she was their mom with so much love and respect but at the same time being extremely professional.

I will always be so grateful to Tara and her amazing staff at the Retreat at Cary Corner where my Mom lived for the final years of her life. The staff was so kind to my Mom, and family members when we were able to visit. It surely was a challenging time because of the necessary COVID protocols that were in place. But we all managed and there was lots of laughter and smiles. I loved my Mom’s room - it was simply beautiful and always clean. I always joked with my Mom that if she didn’t behave I would stay there. One day all of the residents were able to lounge by the accessible pool and enjoy the water and each other. What a joyful look my Mom had. During the time Mom lived there I always knew about medical concerns and all of my questions were always answered. I used to share updates and pictures of Mom on social media and all of my friends agreed that we had really won the lottery when there was room for Mom. Being a caregiver takes compassion, knowledge and strength. And Tara and her staff are the best.

This is the most wonderful place for a loved one! The amount of care and compassion the care givers show to the residents cannot even be put into words!! I would not have my mother in any other place!! She was treated like family and so was I! Just like being at home. Very clean, always attended to and lots of fun! I always enjoyed visiting my Mom there.
