I want to thank the staff at Sun Brook Retreat Assisted Living for taking such excellent care of my mother in law. Every day went I left there I felt peace knowing that she was in good hands and I didn’t have to worry. They were attentive and helpful when needed and answered my questions.

When searching for an assisted living facility for my dad I toured over 10 places and the minute I stepped foot into The Retreat at Sunbrook I knew this was the right one for him. The atmosphere is comforting, the facility is beautiful inside and out. The staff is very friendly and are genuinely concerned with helping us make this transition as easy and stress free as possible. Dad has been here for 6 months now and he has never complained nor asked to go back home. The staff has made me feel welcomed as well and I am at ease knowing he is being taken care of.

When I made the decision that my wife needed to be placed in a memory care faciity, I did a large amount of research into various places. Because Covid was still semi-active, there were not a lot of places that could take new residents. I took tours and interviewed the admissions staff at no less than 12 facilities in Washington State. I was appalled at the wide variety and types of care offered by staff, and where the memory resitents were seemingly isolated in the basement of several places. When I had the opportunity to visit the Retreat at Sunbrook and talked to Annette, I was so very pleased with what I heard about their staff putting the needs of the residents first and how the staff were so very concerned with the residents. I couldn't wait to have my wife live there. In just a few short months, a spot opened up and I grabbed it, knowing my wife would love both the facility and the staff. I even took steps to resign from my position on a City Council and working at the LDS temple to enable me to move to Saint George. Moving my wife to the Retreat and my place of residence to the Saint George area was the best decision I've ever made, except for the decision to marry my wife over 53 years ago. Thank you for being patient with me and taking such good care of my wife.

I have been a resident of the Retreat for more than four years. I love it here. It feels home. The staff are friendly and caring for the individual. The residents are kind and make me feel as if I am in a family. I like that every part of the facility is kept very clean. For example, the dining room floor is washed more than once a day. The apartments are large and roomy. The grounds are beautiful where I can walk and enjoy nature. I just love it here.

My grandma lived here the last couple years of her life. It's a very nice venue with a good community. The locals often come in to visit the members here, which I thought was very sweet. The rooms are very nice and spacious. If you are LDS, they hold services here every Sunday. The only complaint I have is with the food. Completely atrocious. Often served cold and reheated and was not impressed. Not only does my opinion come from what my grandma and relatives have told me, but I've also eaten lunch with her quite a few times and was very disappointed in the quality.
