The Waterford at Round Rock community is very welcoming and clean environment. The staff are attentive, kind, and genuinely caring. Knowing my father is surrounded by individuals who treat him with respect and compassion brings us peace of mind. We did go through a stressful period when a flood issue in his room took longer than expected to resolve. It was difficult seeing him displaced and not in his own familiar space. But when we reached out to the Executive Director, we felt heard, and supported. They expedited the repairs, and ensured the flooring was properly fixed so my father could safely return to his room. What meant the most to us was not just that the issue was resolved, but that it was handled with genuine care, compassion, and a clear commitment to my father’s comfort. That human touch made all the difference. Thank you for the continuous care.

The staff has been very helpful with trying to keep Dad healthy. Their monitoring program has engaged the proper medical evaluation and healing teams necessary. From inhouse physical therapy, blood pressure, and other health checks the staff has kept him alive and truckin'. He enjoys 3 meals aday. Getting some needed rest. I hope he will continue to enjoy this location, the Waterford at Round Rock.

I attended the family support group at The Waterford at around Rock and was so impressed! The staff was incredibly welcoming and made me feel comfortable right away. The building itself is beautiful—warm, clean, and inviting, with a very positive atmosphere. The speaker did a wonderful job explaining the different types of dementia and shared helpful ways to cope and better support my loved one. I left feeling informed, encouraged, and grateful for the experience. Highly recommend this facility and their support programs!

The staff are great. They have made not only my mom but all of the family feel very welcome. It is such a relief for my mom to be in a place where she she is not alone can make new friends and really enjoy life. Thank you!

The Waterford at Round Rock (formally the Rose at Round Rock) is in transition in 2024. New company means new policies and management. Some directors and support staff were recently released. As such, there is a lot of new norms being established at time of this writing. My mother is a newer memory care resident, and this review is of her first 6 months. Pros: * Staff is diligent in supporting my mother. Bathing, simple medical needs, feeding, all meet expectations. * Our room spacious and is well apportioned; 2 closets and full walk-in shower. Overlooking garden areas. * Memory care area is very large compared to many other facilities in the Round Rock/Cedar Park areas. This allows residents to move around, and, if desired, obtain some level of privacy. * They have normal daily activities. But best are the days the little service dogs come and visit with residents. * Occasional wine mixer events. * The experience with the memory care staff, for me, has been excellent. They are communicative when issues are found. And available to me without any managerial filtering (a welcome change from other facilities. Cons: * Management turnover in our 6 months has been very, very high. At times I don't know whom to contact. * On-site playground needs updating. Our grandkids came and found the site lacked end of slide soft landing materials, and the wooden playscapes are in dire need of sanding to remove spurs. Better yet, full replacement with more modern materials. * Meals is always an item that can be improved. In general, it is just okay. A wider selection of soft foods would be welcomed. * Within the first month one hearing aid was lost within the memory care center. Which of course required replacement and was an avoidable cost if properly managed.
