SENIOR LIVING RESIDENCES MARLBORO (NJ13A014)

We have had my dad here twice for respite care. The people that work there are wonderful - kind and caring. The grounds are beautifully maintained and there are lots of activities.

We recently moved my grandmother to SLR Marlboro’s Compass neighborhood and she is absolutely thriving in their care. The facility reminds me of a high end resort and the energy in the building is lively. Maria at the front desk is extremely welcoming and helpful whenever I have a question or need help. I am highly impressed with the ladies and gentlemen who assist the residents. Their approach is filled with kindness and there is a high level of respect and individual care for each resident’s needs and preferences. My grandmother shares the food is plentiful (and delicious) and the people are very nice to her. The activities calendar is varied and there seems to always be something interesting for the residents to enjoy. Kudos to Monique and Alicia for their hard work here! Cecily was fantastic at helping us select the right sized accommodations and Nurses Michelle and Carol ensured we have all our clinical needs documented and our family member is receiving the appropriate level of care and daily support. La-Shaun and Alicia helped us learn the ropes in Compass and helped my grandma integrate into her new environment with ease. Our family was nervous to move my grandmother from her previous facility but SLR has totally exceeded all of our expectations!

When first visiting Senior Living Residences-Marlboro, you might be in awe of the facility itself, which looks like a five star hotel. But, the truly impressive part of SLR is how wonderful, warm, and caring the staff is; from the administrators to the caregivers, and everyone in between. They provide so many engaging activities (musical entertainment, crafting, fun trips) that promote social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and just overall happiness. They serve quality food with many options and even incorporate a Mediterranean diet. Our family is so grateful and at peace knowing that our loved one is well taken care of.

I would like to take a moment to compliment the team of physical therapists at SLR as well as the entire staff. Upon returning from a rehab facility, my dad found himself in a wheelchair, unable to take care of himself and in very low spirits . Prior to his hospitalization,he was used to taking care of himself and participating in daily activities like exercise and trips and socializing at happy hours . The flu and pneumonia left him in a very weakened state. I was not entirely certain that he could return to SLR and receive the level of care that he needed at that point. With the encouragement of the staff at SLR including the nurses, aids ,physical therapists, activities personnel as well as the head chef, within two weeks, my dad was nourished both physically and mentally which enabled him to walk on his own utilizing only a walker. He is very happy now that he is almost back to his old self. Special kudos to Horace and his incredible staff for their relentless encouragement, Maria and Carol for always answering my annoying phone calls, Vivian and Michelle for their medical expertise, Monique and Ari for their creativity at happy hour and trips, and the wonderful staff of aides who keep my dad clean and happy. You are all my adopted family and I appreciate all of you and your familiar smiles whenever I enter the facility. Compliments to SLR for improving what was already a fabulous facility and to Cecily for always being in our corner. PS… I apologize if I forgot anyone!!!!

My step dad just completed a short term stay at the community and enjoyed it! I would recommend this facility for a short or permanent stay. Everyone was extremely friendly and made us feel comfortable from the first day we toured. The management, staff and nurses answered any questions our family had and were very attentive to my step dad. I visited several times during his stay and there were always activities going on to engage the residents. The building is very clean and they are even updating the interior so it will look even better. My family toured 2 other places in the area and are very happy with our decision with SLR.
