THE VILLAGE OF RIVER OAKS

I'll start by saying the Village of River Oaks has been an amazing home of love and care for my mother. I cannot say enough good things about the amazing staff - Hayley, Amber, Charmanie, and Chris just to name a few off the top of my head. Please know all the staff is amazing. The gentleman that oversees parking is an absolute wonderful human. My mother is in assisted living. She, sadly, had a little fall and fractured her hip. The VORO team responded immediately carefully getting my mother to the ER safely and quickly. Now here's where the service care above and beyond. Two days after Mom's hip surgery, I popped by her unit to pick up some items. Nurse Amber anticipated that I would be coming by and set out some clothes and creature-comforts she knew my mom would like to have with her. That is just amazing and so helpful for me and my family. Thank you VORO for being amazing and caring so well for my Mother.

The residents are fantastic!! Love the doggies and kind staff! I love that my family is so well taken care of here. I've never heard them complain. Love you ❤️

If you need to work with anyone about the transition of a family member/loved one into a facility, I hope that you have the opportunity to work with Brittany. Brittany is such a loving and caring individual, who understands all aspects of the transition. I believe her to be helpful outside of her scope of employment, with deep knowledge of the system, and contacts everywhere for everything. She is a beautiful person who cares deeply about everyone that she interacts with. She has my highest admiration, and I cannot thank her enough for everything that she has done for my mother, myself, and my family.

On the surface the building is lovely and it seems clean and the staff friendly. But when my mom stayed there she was neglected, did not help her with showering and her personal hygiene as they were supposed to do, does she ended up with several UTIs that in the hospital with one severe one. I was going up there every day to check on her and help her which exhausted me. I would really check your options before going to this facility.

Today i spent he afternoon visiting my Dad at Village of River Oaks. He had recently moved here from another assisted living center that i had been to frequently, so i was very interested in what he likes so much here. The facility is nice, of course, but so was the previous place. I attended a happy hour with live entertainment and also went to dinner at the dining room. Everyone was friendly, good service, good food. But i really think its the friendly staff that makes the big difference.
