I came to visit with a friend and her mother. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered every question that we had. They set up For us to have lunch during mealtime for the residents and we had a delightful time!

A very clean, welcoming place with fun activities and amazing food. The dining staff truly care and are always happy to accommodate residents’ likes and dislikes. The apartments are nice and have their own bathroom and kitchenette. If you are looking for a great place for your loved one, this would definitely be the place I would recommend for them to be!

The staff here is horrible. My friend was taken to the hospital after a fall, no one called the family. When we went to visit we noticed she was not in her room, we asked the front desk and they reported she was in her room. We found out from her neighbor she went to the hospital. No one knew which hospital. So many of our friends came together and tried to find out which hospital and eventually The Plano Police Department had to get involved. She was under the wrong name. How can this happen. How can this facility have their emergency paperwork wrong and things like this are ok. The communication is horrible. The staff never cared, never help, never called to check on her, never visited, and had no compassion for their resident and didn't even keep in touch during her hospitalization, nor when she went on hospice. We need more caring compassionate people leading these types of facilities.

Wow. I was about to leave a review and saw the most recent one here. It could not have been meant to address an issue with The Waterford at Plano. Our mother has been in residence there almost three years. She receives the uppermost tier of care, and we have found them to be ideal. They are professional, competent and very engaged. They have always communicated matters of significance promptly and efficiently. They keep very accurate, detailed records and work with other providers of care seamlessly. They are also very kind, and the staff attends to my mother as though she was their own. She is currently in the hospital herself and can't wait to get back to her room at the Waterford.

I can’t say enough good things about The Waterford at Plano. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with warmth, professionalism, and a true sense of community. The staff go above and beyond to ensure every resident feels safe, valued, and genuinely cared for. Their attention to detail—from personalized care plans to thoughtful daily activities—sets this place apart from others. The living spaces are clean, modern, and incredibly well-maintained. The amenities are top-notch, offering everything from chef-prepared meals to fitness programs, transportation services, and beautifully landscaped outdoor areas perfect for relaxing or socializing. You can tell The Waterford at Plano is run with compassion and integrity. But what really makes it special is the atmosphere—it feels like home. There’s a wonderful balance of independence and support, and it’s clear that the residents are thriving. If you’re looking for a place where your loved one can maintain their independence with dignity and joy, while having peace of mind knowing they’re in great hands, The Waterford at Plano is it. Highly recommend without hesitation.
