My mother was in this nursing home for 2 years. I had talked with her over the phone and visited her when I could. I sent cards and snd gifts for every holiday. I live in South Carolina, which is a nine hour drive. I was working and couldn’t make it up to see her as much as I would have liked to. I am the oldest daughter. My sister is younger and took care of her finances and lived in the same city. We don’t communicate, so calling or driving up was the only way to talk to my mother. I had called several times in the last months of her life and would be put on hold. I continued to call and asked not to be put on hold. I asked the last time if she was still there. They hung up. I did find out my mother had in fact passed away and wouldn’t tell me any information or that she was no longer alive. I found out that it was illegal to withhold information from me and not even tell me she had passed. If another family member had told them not to tell me without a court order it was illegal. If I had known this then I would have filed a lawsuit against them. That was an injustice and cruel act on their part. They had no right to do that. I will never forget this and I have told everyone I know not to use that horrible place. I was born and raised in Marion and raised my family there. Shame on them. You have no idea the hurt you caused for me, her daughter and my children, her grandchildren.

I’ve spent a lot of time around this community, and it’s clear how much the Activities Director John, Head Nurse Jean, and Maintenance Supervisor Dave care about the residents and the place itself. Staff come and go like anywhere, but the core team keeps the community steady and well cared for.

March 21, 2025 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing this letter to highly recommend Wyndmoor Assisted Living Facility, where my parents have been residents for nearly a year. Throughout their time at Wyndmoor, my brothers and I have witnessed firsthand the exceptional care, attention, and respect they receive from the staff and other residents. The team at Wyndmoor has gone above and beyond in ensuring that my parents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met. The level of care provided is outstanding, and it brings us great peace of mind knowing they are in such good hands. From the compassionate and dedicated staff members to the warm community atmosphere, Wyndmoor has truly become an extension of our family. The relationships built here are remarkable, and we are consistently impressed with how each resident is treated with dignity and respect. Wyndmoor has allowed my parents to continue enjoying their lives together, and we are so grateful for that. They are not just being cared for—they are thriving in an environment where they are valued and appreciated. In fact, next month, my parents will celebrate their 67th wedding anniversary, and we feel incredibly fortunate that they are able to continue their life journey together at Wyndmoor. I wholeheartedly recommend Wyndmoor Assisted Living Facility to anyone looking for a caring, supportive, and welcoming environment for their loved ones. It has been a true blessing for our family, and we are so thankful for the outstanding care provided. Sincerely, Kristin Dyer
