Touch of Country

My mother resided at this AFC home for about one and a half years. She received excellent care from everyone. All the workers truly care and love the residents.

I would highly recommend touch of country AFC to anyone looking for care for their parents. Very friendly and caring staff, very clean place, and very good home cooked meals. If you are looking for an AFC home look no further than touch of country. Char and her staff are absolutely amazing!!

The home floor plan is not complicated – it is easy for residents with physical or cognitive issues to move around safely. The nursing home is not noisy or over stimulating. My gram loved all the staff ,they were very compassionate & personable . The residents were very welcoming !

Char and her staff are very professional and kind and caring. Since it is a small assisted living home, it is very clean and homey. Char and her staff really spend time getting to know the residents. Char helped us to transition mom and helped her and us with this new change in her living situation. I would highly recommend Touch of Country AFC.

When my 90 something year oldmother-in-law was not safe living alone any longer, the family knew it was time to find a safe place for her live. After doing some research and visiting Touch of Country my sister-in-law thought this was a warm, friendly place that Audrie would be happy to call home, and she does! Char and the rest of girls are just so sweet and attentive to each of the residents. Audrie says she doesn't know what she would do without them. They give plenty of hugs and kisses and are always saying the kindest words to her. We know we are welcome to visit anytime and have even gotten to know and visit with the other residents as well. Meals are homemade and the house always has the most welcoming dinner in the oven smell. The house is always very clean and the residents are always appropriately dressed and well groomed. But, what always stands out the most to us, is love and kindness the residents recieve. On at least one occasion when my mother-in-law was having a bad night, Char, the owner, stayed right beside her all night holding her hand, listening to the things that had her sad and worried and once again offering the kindest of words. The family is always notified if there are questions or concerns. Touch of Country has been a blessing not only to Audrie, but her family as well.
