TROPICAL LIVING CLUB 2

When my brother was admitted here in 2019 it was a wonderful place. The administrator knew the residents very well and was very kind to them. She knew the wants and needs Of my brother and communicated effectively with me. She arranged for outings for them. Even when Covid hit and there were restrictions, she would try to find indoor activities. Since her replacements, my brother went downhill. In the last year/year and a half or so, he went from walking without assistance, being continent, dressing himself, and even cooking at our house once to being in a wheelchair, incontinent, not being able to use eating utensils, and could barely lift his head when we visited. The last time we visited there, I rang the doorbell to be let in for about 15 minutes and nobody came to open the door. A family member for a different resident walked up and said oh that doesn’t work It hasn’t for a few months, even though I told them about it. A simple fix like that shouldn’t have taken months.The current administrator once called me, absolutely screaming at me (my niece was a witness) for a call to the ALF that I never made. I tried to talk over her to tell her I had no idea what she was talking about and when she finally stopped yelling at me, she realized I didn’t know what she was talking about and never even apologized. It was one such a wonderful place and I hate to see what it’s become. I will say that the aides that I’ve met were very nice
