UNDER ANGEL WINGS CARE HOME LLC

I love the care and patience they provide my mother. Under Angel Wings Care Home has a family feeling. Everyone from top to bottom cares for the residents with love and is there to support family members in every aspect of this process in their lives. My mother has dementia and they are so loving and patient with her. It is a great place for your loved one to live. Initially I was not happy about my mother living in a care home but with Under Angel Wings Care Home I am extremely happy with the care she is receiving. They take care of all of her needs and keep us informed of how and what she is doing at all times. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a loving and caring home for your parent or grandparent.

Under Angel Wings Care Home Assisted Living facility is hands down the absolute BEST care home in Arizona! My mom was in the hospital for a while, then went to Hospice of the Valley (HOV) and then she needed to be transferred to an assisted living care home and HOV recommended my mom to go to Under Angel Wings. I met with the owners, Michael and Dolly Castillo, and explained all the care my mom would need and I had such good vibes from them and they stated that they would be able to take care of her. I am happy to say that Michael and Dolly and their amazing staff go way above and beyond the call of duty to provide my mom with the utmost compassion, warmth and kindness in taking care of her. My mom has dementia and she is also bedbound so she requires a lot of extra care such as preparing her meals and helping her eat, giving her medication, bathing, changing her clothes daily, laundry, toileting, grooming and assistance with the activities of daily living. But what is even more important than all the wonderful assistance they provide to take care of her, is that Michael, Dolly and the staff go out of their way to interact with her, engage with her, and spend time with her instead of leaving her isolated and alone in her room like a lot of the other care homes and large facilities would do. They could leave my mom in her bed all day long, but Michael will use the Hoyer lift they have and put my mom in the wheelchair so she can be out in the living room/dining room with the other residents and have a change of scenery to play cards, watch TV or do her word search puzzles. They also have a little dog (Sammy) and they make sure little Sammy visits with my mom everyday since my mom loves dogs. Michael and Dolly also cook her yummy vegetarian meals (my mom is a vegetarian), and some examples of breakfast will be eggs with spinach and tomatoes, cauliflower hash browns, or coconut yogurt with blueberries, bananas and strawberries. I am beyond thankful to HOV for finding Under Angel Wings Care Home for my mom and so extremely grateful to Michael, Dolly and their staff for taking the best possible care of my mom. I can sleep at night now knowing that my mom is being treated like a member of their family at Under Angel Wings Care Home. This care home definitely deserves a ten-star review! Unsure how to navigate placing someone in Long Term Care in Arizona, my mom and I were introduced to Under Angel Wings Care Home. Upon our first visit and tour of the home- we knew my dad would have the best care. Mike and the care givers took great care of my dad during his time there. Unfortunately, my dad was placed on hospice a couple months after being there. However, The care he received was above and beyond. Under Angel Wings Care Home shows compassion for their residents and ensures they do the best for them. Mike was there with my dad until the end and treated him as if he was his own father. The experience with Mike and everyone at Under Angel Wings Care Home easy and they went above and beyond; as we are from California and this was a new experience here for us. As my mom said after our tour- “it’s kinda like home”.

We were introduced to Mike, the owner of Under Angel Wings Care Home, while in a rehab facility in January 2019. We didn’t know much about group care homes but we felt that Mike was friendly and committed to provide the care my grandfather needed. We did a walkthrough of the home, met other care professionals and residents, and he answered all of our questions and concerns. My grandfather was not pleased going there at first, but after a year he didn’t want to leave. It was the absolute best decision we as a family made for him. The care and friendship that Mike, his family, and staff have provided has been incredible. My grandfather’s quality of life improved immensely by being around others, instead of isolated in an apartment on his own where there wasn’t anyone to assist if he became sick or fell down. I’m so grateful for the assistance, patience, and overall care that Mike and his family have given to my Grandpa.

We had been looking for a good place for our dad who has dementia and other health issues. When we met Michael at his home we knew we found the right place. The residents looked happy and well cared for. Our dad has been a challenge for Priscilla and Lupe but they do a great job redirecting him. After two months he seems settled and comfortable in his new home. They give him “chores” to do to keep him busy and make him feel useful. Most of all he has the companionship that he so desperately needed. We appreciate everything Michael and his team continue to do for our dad.
