We visited friends in the independent living Manchester building. Very clean and well maintained.

I expected for it to be more clean and interact with staff. When I went to visit a friend there were 2 nurses outside his door. I said hello to them No hello, can I help you.

How interesting that previous reviewers are claiming it’s infected with Covid. My FIL was just hospitalized with Corona Virus and we are getting him the heck out of Aldersgate. And whoever keeps responding that this is not the Gardens — doesn’t matter. People are reviewing Aldersgate in general. Management in general is uncaring and disconnected. Don’t care what section of Aldersgate we are talking about. His apartment at Manchester was filthy. I had to clean it myself when he was in the hospital. Management is rude. I think they both drive in from KC so not too invested in the Topeka community. My FIL was a very accomplished professional in Topeka for a long time and he devoted himself to the community! Shameful of Aldersgate to have such low regard for him in his elderly years. Goodbye. We are going to Cedarhurst and they are happy to receive him. We’ve got to do better about taking care of our older generation.

So, I have been trying to make contact with Eileen Heinen. She is my mother's best friend and all of a sudden she cannot get in touch. Is their a phone number of someone who could help me? My mom is 99.

My sister in law's grandmother passed away at a hundred years old. Aldersgate did a phenomenal job. They were very accommodating to the family and with all of the arrangements Things that were needed for the services. The place was very beautiful. And there was many that were on staff to accommodate and help all of the people who showed up
