UNIVERSITY VILLAGE THOUSAND OAKS

My wife recently toured UVTO with Kim. We were very favorably impressed with the beauty of the grounds and facilities, the options for residences, the full offering of activities, and the ability to receive skilled nursing care if necessary. We've formally added our names to the wait list for a residence.

I am a new resident of UVTO and I can't be more pleased with my new life. All the employees are cheerful and helpful and the residents I have met are happy and content with life here. There is so much to do that I have problems keeping some do-nothing time which I enjoy as well. So far, this has been a wonderful experience starting from my sensitive preparation and move-in guidance by Joani Pappas to a wonderful enthusiastic welcome from the athletic director Chris. I'm glad I made this choice.

Good experience at your presentation. Had a meeting today with Joan Pappas and signed up for a 1-bedroom unit. Will work to complete the transaction next week, including money to hold the space.

Excellent food including presentation Enjoyed info about each of the beers. People seemed friendly. Talked with two seated near me. Topic: Downsizing came up and ALL at my table agreed " It is not so easy". i

My aunt and uncle moved here a few years ago. My mom and I visited many times and we thought it was such a lovely place. Then my uncle passed away in December and University Village was amazing in helping care for my Aunt. The nursing staff is wonderful and really cares about all the residents. I was happily surprised at how much attention and care they were giving my aunt (just one resident). And then when it was apparent that my aunt needed to be in assisted care the staff helped in finding another place close by (since University Village has a waiting list, unfortunately for us). And when I had to help move her to the new place (they had no children) and was stressed out, to say the least, University Village not only supported me in every possible way but really helped me in every step of the move. I really could not have done any of it without them. Everyone was so attentive and helpful. I cannot recommend this place enough. If you're looking for a loved one or if you're looking for yourself, they care about each of their residents so very much. I am very sad that we had to move my Aunt to somewhere else, but I am so very happy that my aunt and uncle were able to live there for the few years they did.
