Vacaville Memory Care has a wonderful team that truly cares about their residents. The staff are attentive, compassionate, and you can tell they take pride in creating a safe and supportive environment for people living with memory challenges. Jamie, the Resident Care Director does an amazing job leading the care team. Her dedication and attention to the residents really show in the quality of care being provided. Overall, it’s clear this community is focused on treating residents with dignity and kindness, which makes such a difference for families looking for peace of mind.

I’ve seen a lot of care facilities in my time, and I have to say I think Vacaville Memory Care does a great job trying to accommodate the resident and family. Tawsha was very helpful in helping me go through the process of placing my husband in their care. Jamie is fantastic! She oversees the caregivers and is very hands on with the residents. She very much seems to have concern for the residents. The caregivers for my husband have been very helpful and easy to communicate with, and I appreciate that! If you are looking for a care home for your loved one, you should check them out.

Very caring and responsive to clients and family. My Aunt arrived to VMC during the transition from earlier management staff. I appreciate the efforts to adjust to individual needs and the staff suggestions to make clients comfortable. I was concerned when they had to move my Aunt from one house to another due to remodeling. It was rough on my Aunt to adjust but the staff worked with us to get her to accept her new surroundings. Before my Aunt arrived, she was losing weight and had been to the emergency room twice. After 6 weeks at VMC, she had gained enough weight to make me feel comfortable with her wellbeing. She was on a regular routine that reminder of her military days. Before, she had a random schedule based if she felt like it and most of the time she did not feel like eating. Now she looks forward to her meals. She never liked taking a shower and preferred a sponge bath washing her hair in the kitchen sink. Now she is showering regularly with assistance which I appreciate since her hands do not work very well. Well done.

I love how friendly the staff are and the activities they have with the residents. I really can feel the sense of “family” through their care and attention. Their management, Camille and Jamie, have always been so responsive with any needs we bring up, and Tawsha is an absolute superstar with speaking to family, updating us on any concerns and just being a ray of sunshine that is always needed in this world.
