Dear Van Dyk Family, What you all do for my mother and for all of the residents is truly heart warming and inspiring. My mother is so full of life, so happy, not a care in the world, living her best life with her Van Dyk family! She used to be in theatre and singing competitions when she was young, and you all have given her a sense of that back. From the Rock-n-Roll concerts, to holiday fun, to the activities staff, caregivers, nurses, receptionists, chefs and every single member of your residence, you all exude such high energy, love and dedication. My mother’s spirit is truly uplifted because of you. That love can’t be matched anywhere else! I know she is happy, healthy and safe ❤️. A thousand times over, thank you for being such special souls 🙏.

When searching for the right place for Mom to live, we visited five other assisted living facilities in our area. Some were very old-looking and had small rooms, others were modern but very "hotel" looking. Van Dyke's Park Place was comfortable and inviting as soon as we pulled into the entry driveway. The staff is very welcoming, and the building is well-kept and the most home-like that we saw. After approximately four months of living there, our mom is happy, involved in activities, and well cared for.

Transitioning a loved one to a memory care is nerve-wrecking--how do you know you are making the right decision? From Day 1, I have been consistently re-assured that I did the right thing for my mother by choosing Park Place. Not only do I know she is safe and has skilled caregivers looking after her health and well-being, I know she is having fun and has a richer life with dementia than she could have had living at home, or that I had imagined was possible. I'm grateful every day for Park Place!

Our first experience with Van Dyk's had been with the Memory Care Center. My Aunt was in the earlier stages of dementia and the Memory Care Center was a perfect fit for us. She was so happy to go there. She would tell me that everyone there was so kind to her and happy to see her. She felt welcomed and wanted. Then Covid happended and everything stopped. She took a turn for the worse, her speech all but stopped, she didn't enjoy the things she used to. As time went on and her care required more than I or my family could handle, I knew the only place I would ever feel comfortable with would be Park Place. We have gotten to know Pam and the staff from Memory Care and I loved them already. She now enjoys her daily walks and tv time and craft projects. They have her do more everyday than I could have ever done with her myself. I am so thankful that she has the means to have this amazing team of caretakers around her. I am also very thankful and blessed to live so close by to such a wonderful place. I tell my kids that if I ever need a team of caretakers, sell my house and move me in!

My aunt has been at Van Dyk Park Place for 7 years. I couldn't hope for any more. At every level, they surpass my expectations -- safety during Covid, medical care, social engagement, kindness. They treat residents as if they are family. Van Dyk Park Place is a happy home for my aunt.
