VERNON WOODS RETIREMENT COMMUNITY

Vernon Woods is a clean, beautiful facility with spacious public spaces and comfortable apartments to make all residents feel at home. My aunt was hesitant to leave her home for a retirement community, but after moving to Vernon Woods, she has never looked back. The staff is attentive to her needs, and the meals are delicious. Navigating through Covid over the past year has been challenging for everyone, but I know my aunt has been living in the best and safest retirement community during these unprecedented times. She couldn’t have found a better place to call home.

I have a member of my church that lives at Vernon Woods. When I get to visit with her, she is always so happy and energetic (even at her age). Her husband passed away several years ago and the staff and residents at Vernon Woods are now her extended family. Even having to downside from a modest home, she has filled her apartment with family heirlooms and some of her most precious pieces. The staff takes excellent care of her and helps her to stay as active as she can. She raves about the meals from Jeffrey and his staff. They are amazing (I've had the pleasure of eating with her in the past). Housekeeping always does an excellent job for her and she never has to lift a finger. I am so grateful that our little town of LaGrange has a place like Vernon Woods for our seniors to live and thrive in.

When our family member needed assisted living Vernon Woods was ready to welcome her. The caregivers, office, and kitchen staff were so wonderful and always willing to accommodate her in any way. We love that the staff took the time to get to know her personally. The building and grounds are always beautifully maintained. It makes our lives easier knowing she is getting such good care at Vernon Woods.

My mother has been a resident of Vernon Woods for over a year, and it has been the perfect place for her! Prior to moving to Vernon Woods, my mother lived alone, was in declining health, and refused many of my efforts to help her. However, once she moved into the assisted living area of Vernon Woods, everything changed for the better. She immediately began to enjoy the company of the other residents, participated in the many activities offered, and looked forward to what each new day would bring. I am thankful to say that my mother is now thriving because of the wonderful staff at Vernon Woods and the care that they offer to her. Our family is thankful that our mother is enjoying life again, and we no longer worry that she is living alone. We could not be more pleased with this friendly community, its amenities, and its staff. Vernon Woods has truly been an answer to prayer for my mother and for my family. I only wish that I could give Vernon Woods more than 5 stars!! What a blessing it has been to us!

My mother Anne was 101 years old when she recently visited Vernon Woods for a respite stay --- while my wife and I relaxed and dealt with some family issues in Calif. As per Vernon Woods, we were very happy with my moms care and our communications with Vernon Woods' staff while we were away. At 101 years of age, not everything went smoothly during the week, but Vernon Woods accommodated all her personal issues. Thus, Vernon Woods clearly met my mothers' needs. We consider their management to be very professional and their staffing to be caring --- a Great Blend for a Retirement Community.
