Verra Spring at Heritage Woods

After touring a number of other Senior Independent Living locations we decided to move my 90+ very independent mother into Heritage Woods this past August. The staff is warm and friendly and provides excellent care to the residents. Three meals a day are provided, and I am impressed by the menu selection and food. Not having to make a large deposit, as many living communities require, allows her to live comfortably and with-in her means. She was initially hesitant to leave her home, but has since made new friends and keeps busy with all the activities offered. There is a "new resident" table in the dining room that opened the opportunity for her to meet new people. We are happy that she is in a safe and caring community.

Heritage Woods has been an enormous blessing to our mom and our entire family! We can't say enough about the genuine warmth and willingness of the staff to make her feel right at home. From the directors to the office staff, cafeteria workers, and fellow residents, Mom has been cared for every step of the way. Thank you, thank you!

The food is very good. I was surprised how good. No I don’t love everything, but I didn’t like everything at home! I have gained weight. The staff are helpful and go out of their way to make things as good as possible for us. I see some residents who you won’t ever please, but they are in the minority. I really like living here!

We did a tour this week. Heritage Woods is a wonderful example of independent living where older folks are cared for in a friendly, lively setting. Residents were so complementary of the staff. Definitely a reasonably priced option for senior living.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Heritage Woods for the wonderful care and compassion they have shown our Mom. From the moment she arrived, we could tell she was surrounded by people who truly care about their residents. The environment is warm, welcoming and filled with staff who go out of their way to make sure everyone feels at home. They have so many activities, field trips and social events available and encourage each resident to participate. A special THANK YOU to Mary Stone who is truly an amazing person. Mary is incredibly helpful, compassionate and always goes above and beyond to make sure our Mom is comfortable and happy. Her kindness and dedication means so much to our family and we are deeply grateful for all that she does. Thank you, Heritage Woods 'family,' for creating such a caring and supportive community.
