VI AT LA JOLLA VILLAGE

My mother was at the Vi Skilled Nursing Center/Rehab for the past 6 weeks and the incredible care and support she received helped her recover from a terrible accident. The quality of the PT (Amanda and Debbie) and OT (Dipti and Sarah) was outstanding! That team works extremely well together to maximize results and with care and compassion. The nursing team (RNs/LVNs and CNAs) are led by Director of Nursing Kelly White who has put together the kindest and yet efficient team. My mother was in terrible pain when she arrived and they treated her so gently and professionally and she always had her dignity. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of care my Mother received at the Vi Care Center. From the front desk, the valet, the laundry staff, just about everyone. The Vi is a wonderful place for seniors. My wife and I moved into Independent Living and very quickly found a number of friends with whom we became close.There is a wide variety of people here so it is easy to find compatible people. The Vi has a wide variety of activities and dining opportunities, and good food. The staff is very helpful and friendly. After my wife passed away, it was very comforting to be already established in this friendly, helpful environment. Now I'm in the Care Center which provides superlative services, provided with competence and great understanding of individual needs.

My husband and I have been at the Vi at La Jolla Village for a year and a half. For the last 8 months my husband has had to be in Skilled Nursing at the Care Center. The quality of his care has been exceptional. The staff in the Care Center have been kind, caring, attentive and professional. They are taking excellent care of him. It gives me great peace of mind knowing he is well cared for. When we moved to the Vi I had no idea my husband would be needing this kind of care. I am most relieved and grateful knowing he is in good hands medically, and with staff who genuinely care about his health and welfare. Gail Braverman

Kedra Markie, Social Services Manager, was unorganized, rude, and intolerant, and she upset my mother while she is recovering from bypass surgery. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and deeply distressing, especially given that my mother’s care and recovery are in their hands. This experience was extremely upsetting and unacceptable.

I had a wonderful experience at the Vi skilled nursing facility! A big thank you to Sarah in Ocupational Therapy who went above and beyond. Everyone is very pleasant, positive and encouraging! The food is very good with lots of choices. My room was very nice too. The recreational activities were varied and I especially enjoyed the music and art! Well run all around!
