The team at this community is truly amazing. From the moment you walk in, you can feel how much they genuinely care about the residents and families. My grandparents absolutely love coming to the events. They’re always talking about the activities, the friends they’ve made, and how welcomed they feel.

The staff here was friendly and informative without being pushy, which I really appreciated. The community felt organized, clean, and welcoming, making the tour experience comfortable and informative. I feel good about my loved one being here.

*Edited to add my father just started hospice, who come to him at VL. The hospice nurse found massive bruising on his hip and she initiated X-rays because she thought it could be dislocated or broken. No one from Vibrant Life told anyone about this serious injury. I was never contacted about it. This was about a week ago. He’s in his last hours now and they STILL haven’t contacted me. I heard second hand from his insurance care team that he doesn’t have long left. Today I talked to hospice and they said his passing was probably initiated by his fall. I only left him there after removing my mother to spare him from the shock of change in his advanced dementia and now I regret it. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was uncovered that Vibrant Life staff beat and neglects the residents, that’s how much I distrust them* I removed my mother from this facility 4 months ago because the care here is absolutely sub-par and the staff seem to refuse to communicate with me. I’ve been nothing but polite so I don’t see any reason for it besides being absent minded or not caring. My mother literally went to the emergency room multiple times in a week and they never called me or told me a single time. I learned from other sources. Even when I complained about it they didn’t reach out to me to explain what happened. I found out from ER staff that ahe fell and broke her wrist, and she kept taking the cast off. They don’t communicate with me about what my parents need. No matter how many voicemails (the resident care director has never answered the phone when I called) or emails I send (I live out of state so I have anything they need mailed in). My dad has been there 2 years and my mother almost one, and I was only able to get on the phone with the resident care director 1 time. She told me that my mother needed underwear. Only a few days later I found out that my mother gained an unreasonable amount of weight in a short period of time, so I was trying to get anyone to tell me what size she now wears. Over the course of several months I couldn’t get a single person to even respond to me. She experienced excessive edema, could barely walk, and her doctors said to talk to vibrant life about her salt intake. Staff members tried to blame her visitors for bringing her “fast food and chips” which was infuriating because she doesn’t have visitors and I live out of state. Maybe 1 time her brother visited from Florida and took her out but that’s not why she had consistent edema. I was able to talk to a culinary staff member and they admitted they give her saltines with soup and salty things like sausage and that they could try not to do that. She has kidney disease and has always been supposed to be on a low sodium diet. They knew that. I took her out once and the staff told me the doors lock at a certain time and you could be buzzed in. Only 2 times did that happen because I took her out to dinner and when we got back no one answered. We stood outside in the snow for 20 minutes ringing the bell and calling the phone number over and over and no one came. Finally a staff member just walking by noticed us and let us in. The second time after I dropped my mother off in her room and I went to leave, I couldn’t find anyone to buzz me out. I waited by the door for another 10 minutes or so for someone to walk by, but then I just forced the door open and left. That set off the alarm (as if a resident was escaping). I sat in my car so that I could tell whoever came to investigate that it was me and not a runaway. No one ever came. The alarm just kept going off, and eventually stopped. If it was a resident they could have frozen to death. That was in the assisted living building not memory care, so maybe they are less vigilant, but some of the residents in that building 100% belonged in memory care. Besides all that the interior is depressing. It feels heavy and sad in there. I moved my mother and the new place feels light and energetic by comparison.

My Mom was a resident at Vibrant Life - Superior for about 15 months. The staff was so kind and patient with her, and always adapted her care to reflect her constantly changing needs and abilities. My Mom had a fairly rare condition and the Nurses and care friends took the time to learn about it, and were prepared as her condition advanced. They also had a lot of fun activities planned to keep residents engaged. I am grateful for the care and love Mom received while there.

My sister was a resident at Vibrant Life Senior Living, and our family could not be more grateful for the care she received. From the moment she moved in, the director, office staff, and nursing team all went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable, safe, and truly cared for. The compassion and professionalism shown every day gave us great peace of mind, and it was clear that the entire community is dedicated to treating residents with dignity and respect. We highly recommend Vibrant Life Senior Living to anyone looking for a supportive, welcoming, and caring community for their loved one. Jackie’s family
