VIEW AT JOHNSON CREEK (THE)

We were forced to move our Mom due to: inadequate staffing, lack of an activities director for over 9 months (and therefore minimal to no structured activities), excessive staff turnover at all levels (3 directors, 4 primary nurses, 3 activities coordinators and more direct care staff to count) and a director that was allowed to remain in her position albeit many complaints from staff and families. I am writing this review after 6 months of my mom moving, she is flourishing at her new facility. At The View, one of the mainstay care treatments is routinely giving antipsychotic drugs for what they labeled as 'behaviors', it would leave my mom in a sedated state, not able to ambulate, falling asleep at the table. Staff would share that they would need to give these drugs because of resident boredom (no activities) and lack of staffing to spend the time needed to adequately meet resident needs. My mom did not get consistent routine basic care based on inadequate staffing which was a direct outcome of poor facility leadership. My Mom does not receive, nor does she need, sedating medication at her current facility. Staff have the time and skills to care for patients with dementia and activities are structured and meaningful. I do not recommend this facility, we should have moved out our Mom sooner than we did.

Beautiful building and amazing staff. This place is state of the art and I feel so comfortable with my family member living there!

I stayed here last year and was very impressed with everything from the staff, the food and the cleanliness. They treated both my wife and I like family. The therapy was great and got me back to be able to go home again. I highly recommend The View at Johnson Creek!

My has lived at The View for the past 8 months. I can't speak highly enough about the caring staff and the attention they give her. My mom is finally getting out of her slump and is now joining her new made friends in the activity room. They have done some really fun things. We appreciate all you do.

I love the View. Best decision I made to place my wife here. The staff is wonderful to her I highly recommend it
