My wife, “My Fifi”, has been at Sydney Creek for going on four years. Staff and administrators are caring and very attentive. My Fifi always smiles and reaches for them when they are near. A great sign she is happy. She has always received, and receives, excellent care and opportunities for activities . She is well kept as is her room. I am grateful to all: the caregivers, concierges, med techs, chef and crew, life enrichment team, maintenance team, receptionists, janitors, and the administration team. My heart-felt thanks to you all, those there now and those who have moved on. Sydney Creek has been there for many years and shows some wear with age, however, it is well kept thanks to “maintenance Mikes” and the improvements being made under the direction of the new director Liza Hicks. Thank you!

This facility has low care standards, lacks cleanliness and smells strong of urine in carpets, beds, and chairs. Understaffed of both caregivers and supervisors. Caregiver smoked vape right over an elderly client. No person, especially an elderly person entrusted to their care, should have to breathe substance smoke of any kind. Sadly, its been ongoing problem. This is a very lonely depressing place, with an institutional atmosphere. Residents are left without anyone to converse with them, are not supervised adequately, left alone while staff on break or on their cellphones. Center and staff need to drastically improve their level of care.

My friend had her mother moved to Sydney Creek once she could no longer safely care for her. Her mother was living in her own home and my friend was going to her home to see her 3 times a day while working her full-time job. Once it became clear to my friend her mother needed additional care and was experiencing some type dementia, she searched for a new place for her hoping it could be like a new home for her. Sydney Creek is a very nice care home with delightful staff. One nurse in particular stands out: Janice, LVN, provided outstanding care for my friend’s mother. Janice went above and beyond to deliver the care and support needed during a difficult time. If Janice is any example of the caliber of employed staff at Sydney Creek, I would not hesitate to recommend this fine home to those looking. To all the staff at Sydney Creek, thank you for taking such great care of your residents! Thank you for always taking great care of her!

Sydney Creek is for Dementia patients. My Mother in Law is now staying at Sydney Creek. The staff is wonderful. It's very clean and organized into 3 areas each called a village. Village 1 for people who get along fairly well and need some help with daily routines. Village 2 are patients that need more help than usual, and Village 3 are people that are totally dependent on the staff. Our only concern we have had is she has fallen 3 times while residing, there and no one was present when it happened. The 3rd time she broke a hip. Not sure the cause for the falls. We feel her dementia has worsened and she has lost her stability with a walker, so, we have had her moved to a wheelchair only. The rooms are semi-private. two to a room and they are cleaned everyday. Very nice.

My mother, Virginia, lived at Sydney Creek for only a month before her death. She loved the staff/facility and called it "home". I would highly recommend Sydney Creek for anyone seeking a home for the mentally impaired.
