We're approaching a year since my father moved into an apartment at the Village of St. Edward. The experience has been superb and the staff works together to accomodate my father's needs on a daily basis. We notice that the staff makes an effort to always greet residents by name and make them feel at home. As his needs have evolved, the staff has been great at communicating options via phone calls, in-person discussions, and formal meetings. The events for the residents and families are amazing and when dining with my father, we're always impressed with the quality of the dining experience. When asked about his home at the Village of St. Edward, my father says it best, "I love it here!".

Back in May 2024 my mom’s life and the families life changed drastically, that she’d need to be in an assisted living. Mom was so independent, drove, very social and did everything pretty much herself. After being in rehab for a few weeks from her illness it was time to look for an assisted living place. We looked at another facility in the Wadsworth area, but once my family and I saw the way of living she could have at the Village we knew this was the place we wanted her! Going to bed every night knowing my mom is being cared for by the most amazing staff is such great comfort to me and my family! From the admissions process, moving in and care to this point has been nothing but exceptional! If we’ve ever had any little issues, it’s been address immediately and taken care of. Mom has become very involved in activities and loves getting the church Eucharist ready every Sunday. She’s come so far since May! Mom has recently had the stomach bug and “WOW”the nursing staff has been so great with her. Lindsey mom’s nurse and Jenn kept me up to date on how she was doing and that was so comforting! You know your mom has her favorites when she talks about them all the time! A huge shoutout to Dillon, Hannah, Brenda, Nicole, Paula and Gracie! I hear your names very often from mom and she loves, trusts each and every one of you! Keep up the great job! If you’re looking for some peace of mind when looking to place your elderly loved one somewhere, look no further! The Village of St Edwards is the place for you!!

My Father has been there for several months now. It has taken the worry off of us. Everyone there is so incredibly nice. They keep me informed of everything. The facility is clean and well kept. There are always activities and the meals are good. My Dad seems happy to have people around. I am so thankful for everyone at St. Ed's. It was a great decision.

We moved my 85 year-old mother here from out of state four months ago. My wife visited several facilities in the area, and The Village of St. Edward assisted living facility in Wadsworth was the right choice. My mother loves The Village of St. Edward, and we do also. Her studio apartment is clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Everything is on one floor, and we love the homey feeling of the living units and common areas. We had to bring her here from 1,000 miles away on very short notice, and the flexibility granted us during the application and relocation process was incredible. When we moved mother in, the first thing we all noticed was the food quality - a marked improvement from her prior home. The second thing we noticed was how happy and well-adjusted the residents are at this facility. We soon discovered we have friends and acquaintances who have loved ones here, and their stories mirror our own. The very first night my mother spent in the facility, we all attended a music event in the chapel. Everyone in the room was happy and upbeat and it was obvious to us how well they were taken care of, and how much they enjoyed their surroundings. The number and quality of the activities on site each week is amazing. My mother attends exercise classes, music therapy classes, various gaming activities, crafting, and regular pet visits from outside providers. She is busy morning and afternoon all week long and this activity level is helping to mitigate her anxiety and memory issues. Everyone we have dealt with - the executive director, nursing director, front office staff, activities director, nursing and aide staff, and dining and maintenance staff have all been outstanding. They take the time to really know each resident and their individual needs. When we walk in the front door, the staff in the front office usually knows exactly where my mother is at that moment. Everyone calls her by name and the dining staff knows all her preferences. We have found the nursing and aide staff to be particularly attentive in administering my mother's meds each day and alerting us to any behavioral changes, and the aides queue her for all her meals and activities. We are also pleased that all her basic personal and medical needs (hair care, podiatry, general medicine, etc.) are provided on premises. The quality of life my mother is experiencing is a blessing to her and to our family, and we take comfort in knowing her needs are being consistently met. We are very thankful to have found The Village of St. Edward, and we give the facility and staff our highest recommendation. - Greg and Martha Oakes
