What I really love about living here is how friendly, warm, caring, and loving everyone is. That includes the staff, the residents, and even the families who come in — everyone truly makes you feel at home and comfortable. I also feel very protected here, and that means a great deal to me. In my previous condo, I couldn’t go upstairs, so I stayed on one level, and even though my son lived next door, I didn’t have the same sense of security that I feel now. Living here gives me peace of mind knowing that people are around me and that I’m not alone in a big house or condo by myself. I really enjoy being here with other people — it feels like home.

I have been living at Village on the Park – Onion Creek for five months, and it has been wonderful. Moving from our home in the country was very hard, but being here has brought us so much peace of mind knowing there are kind, friendly people nearby who are always willing to help. The staff is amazing — Jimmy, Joe, and the front desk team are always available and truly caring. We also love how dog-friendly the community is. We have a dog and enjoy having a small fenced backyard area where our dog can go outside and come right back in. I would absolutely recommend Village on the Park – Onion Creek to anyone considering senior living.

I love that there are so many activities to choose from—you’re truly bound to find something you enjoy, and even discover new things you may have never thought about trying. There are always outings, places to go, and fun things to do, which keeps life here engaging. I also appreciate having the opportunity to schedule transportation to doctor’s appointments, which makes life so much easier. Most of all, the community is very welcoming. What really stands out to me is the camaraderie among the residents—everyone is friendly, supportive, and genuinely helps one another. It truly feels like a close-knit community, not just a place to live.

Words can barely express my love and gratitude for the administration and staff at the Village on the Park-Onion Creek. Every single staff member embodies true care and concern for the residents. I moved my mother to Austin and to the Village during the pandemic in 2020. They immediately became our trusted family. My mother spent six great years there first in an Independent Living apartment and then in an Assisted Living apartment. She enjoyed the clean facilities, the amenities, the delicious food, and the fun and creative activities and celebrations (her favorites being Bingo, the music and the sing-alongs). She absolutely thrived there and made many friends. At every step in her retirement journey at VOP, the staff were there for her (and for me) and went above and beyond in care and service. They are truly dedicated to their mission. I am forever grateful that I chose this amazing facility and these amazing people to care for my mother.

Amazing place. My mom moved in about two months ago to an independent living apartment. Everyone, staff and residents, have been so helpful and positive. So many people have reached out to help my mom and make her feel like a part of a wonderful community. The food is amazing. There is a coffee station with fruit, pastries, delicious cookies available between meals. So many activities to participate in including exercise classes. My mom enjoyed the live music the other day. Monarch butterfly garden, library next to the garden, on site hair salon. Everything, including the apartments, all on one level which is great. So easy to get everywhere. Beautiful place, lots of sunlight and green. I am so happy that she is there.
