VILLAGE, THE

The Village is now Home for eight years. Great place to live, we are a big caring family. It is a very active and busy place, time sure goes fast. Our staff is just the best, caring and processional with a smile. I feel safe and cared for. Thank you. Gr.

I have lived here 8 years. Time has gone so fast because life here at The Village is so very good. So much is done for us that I would never have expected nor ever thought of. The employees are the best!

They kicked my mother out in the middle of the night for yelling after being there only about 4 hours. She does have dementia and can be aggressive. They wouldn’t give her a chance to get on meds or suggest help from hospice. One of the nurses on the night shift even hung up on the hospital after they called and said that it wasn’t right for them to just leave her there and not come back after they had accepted her. They are no good. Then on top of all that, it was documented and now no skilled nursing place will take her. I have to pay a humongous amount now. I don’t know how I’m going to do this. They just want people who are easy peasy. The EMT’s and hospital staff definitely have a lot to say about this place.

I had a lovely time with both the tour (Denai) of areas I hadn't seen prior and the luncheon was first class both in food and service. I enjoyed the wine tasting portion. Our table Hostess (Jackie or Janet Johnson?? sorry) was just great and very well informed, she obviously loved being there. She was kind enough to give us a look see of her own apartment which was much appreciated. Still haven't had opportunity to visit the assisted living section yet. I'll most likely become part of the VIP club next visit. Look forward to see you all again, you're great. Thanks much, Judy

Staff during the day are great. Unfortunately after hours you will have the most under trained and unqualified workers. Have walked by the front desk several times just to have the front desk sleeping on the job. Security is fake and unlicensed. Not sure how running a place like this is even legal. Makes sense why the employee turnover is so high. Seems like those in leadership positions are simply the people who can put up with this place the longest. Every worker I have met that was worth anything leaves early and I honestly can’t blame them. In assisted living and skilled nursing you will regularly find the nurses sleeping on the job…cough cough* abandonment. I recommend figuring out the credentials of those that work here before you send your loved ones here expecting them to be protected. The people running this place have no business doing so. I hope they can get their act together quick. These are parents and grandparents and not just another filled room.
