Viva Senior Living at Berryville

This facility is horrendous. How anyone could send their loved one here is beyond me. Staff is ALWAYS short. Management is rude is demeaning. Urine is all over the floor and staff refuses to clean it up. The smell is putrid. A washer was full of mold on one unit. The couches residents use stains galore. Don’t even bother touring this cesspool. If ZERO stars was an option I’d have clicked that!

Always fantastic! The team in memory care are always helpful and friendly. It is not uncommon to hear the staff and residents saying “I love you” to one another. I see the staff demonstrate kindness and gentle care to the residents. Every single Commonwealth employee I've encountered has been kind and professional. As someone with aging parents, it’s encouraging to see the great care provided to our elders. A big thank you to all!

Some of the Staff are amazing and some are not very attentive at all. When trying to speak or ask questions, the staff will talk over you to speak about the residents and their needs, which I do understand is important, but, at the same time, Families should be treated with respect and compassion and not as if we're just someone who is there hanging out or also working with them. We have a family member currently residing here who we just found out had some fungus on their feet, so it seems that there needs to be more attentive care to the needs of hygiene, my husband had a family member who passed from gangrene, so it's cause for concern. Other than these little things, overall, this is a much better facility than most I have come across hands down. They also hold different events for the residents to keep them busy and take them on field trips if they are able and capable. I currently have a family member residing in this place, and as soon as I call to find out if my family member has been returned from another location, I'm being told that unless I'm POA I can't be told that information, but I'm allowed to go visit and be given information when I'm there, these people are so backwards, it angers me.

My first visit with my friend since she moved in. Very impressed by the facility and the staff. Clean and comfortable and numerous employees showed their knowledge and concern for my friend and her comfort. Things such as letting her know they knew she was not a fan of the shrimp being served for lunch today so would fix her a turkey sandwich instead, if that was what she’d like. One of several examples of personal attention that I saw.

My grandmother is a current resident here They take fabulous care of her. The facility is beautiful, clean and staff is extremely friendly. I love that they do so many activities with the residents and go on many outings. All of the residents seem very happy and cared for. The facility feels like a giant home, The bedrooms are beautiful.. formal dining setting for each meal and my grandmother loves the food They can even have wine with dinner if they choose. Highly recommend this place.
