Walker Place

Our mother has been a resident for over five years. The staff are caring and professional. In her words, “ this is my home.”

My husband has lived at Walker Place for nearly two years. Staff members are caring, able, and friendly. They respond well to our questions and concerns. The atmosphere is homelike and very clean. Having the hospital and doctors just across the road is a plus. We are satisfied with the care at Walker.

Mom loves her new home at Water Place. Mom spent time at Walker to rehab a broken hip. She told us then, when its time - that's where I want to be. When Mom decided it was time, we worked with the Senior lifestyle Counselor at Walker to start the process. He listened to us, understood our concerns from lifestyle changes, financial issues and everything in between. From the first meeting, we felt we had a new friend, someone looking out for Moms best interests. Nine months later, that has not changed. He always greets us with a smile and a hug. She is treated like family by staff at all levels. Mom enjoys many activities including exercising, dominos, euchre, and more. Mom is active outside of Walker with church, bible study, her knitters group, shopping trips and more! Our family and, most importantly Mom, feel we made the very best decision for this next chapter in Moms life. Thank You to the staff at Walker Place for helping Mom feel safe and full of life in her new home.

My mother has been a resident at Walker Place for 4-1/2 years. The love and care shown to her and all of the residents is amazing. They treat them like family. The medical staff takes care of ordering in, managing, and distributing their prescription and otc medications, the kitchen staff provides very tasty and complete meals, the housekeeping staff keep the facility very clean, the maintenance team keep things running in tip-top shape, the hair salon lady does amazing work to keep them clean and looking nice. I could go on but I will just say this, right up to Mom's last day of life, the folks at Walker Place was right there to lovingly meet all of her needs! I highly recommend them for anyone's loved ones.

Walker Place has been home for my mother for two years now, one month after my father's death. She, my brothers, and I chose Walker Place, after visiting other locations, also. She has gone through many changes, mentally and physically, in those two years. Through it all, Mom has received top-notch care in every way. The staff is amazing, and there is no doubt they all truly care for their residents and the residents' families. The facility is always clean. Plus, it feels so cozy and home-like. Through the COVID19 pandemic, they have remained strong in doing what they feel is best for each resident. I know how hard it has been on everyone involved with long-term facilities, including staff, residents, and families, and I am thankful daily for their commitment. Thank you, Walker Place.
