My mother was there for one year and she loved it. The entire staff is absolutely amazing! Every single person that works there is kind, compassionate, attentive and simply wonderful. My mother got very ill and wasn’t able to return to Wardwell otherwise she’d still be there. She had to go to another facility for rehab and the care was terrible. The staff at Wardwell took excellent care of her and they truly treated her like a dear friend. The place is immaculate and very cheerful. The care was outstanding. Sadly, that has not been my mother’s experience at another facility in Saco. When I get older, my plan is to live at Wardwell. I can’t say enough good things about them. The residents are super nice too. I wish I could give this place 10 stars.

I worked across the street until I retired this year. The Wardwell tenants are just the nicest and happiest people! There always seems to be activities, trips, etc. I am on the waitlist, hope to get in soon!

They do a great job taking care of the residents. Also the residents love being there.

My mother in law lives in the non assisted living part of the complex. This also means she pays full price for her unit. Two years ago, Wardwell would get a 5 star. With new management, they have had a large turnover of staff, items are going unrepaired, the complex is not as well kept. I would see staff working around almost every visit I made. Now, I rarely see staff. The item that took away the most points is this winters decision to not help non assisted living seniors, clear off, or shovel around, there vehicles. The use to move the cars, and clean all around them, now, Wardwell claims they do not have the funds to offer this anymore. Yet, this same service is still offered in units that are government subsidized. So, this change has a bunch of 80 year olds left to fend for themselves to clear their cars off, go out and move their vehicles when the plow comes, all during the worst possible conditions, during a snow storm. The other option is, the tenant can find another place to park their car during a storm

There aren't many places I'd let my grandparents move to without reservation, but Wardwell is one. The residents receive e exceeding what I've seen at far more expensive assisted living facilities. Heck, they even get their trousers ironed.
