My Mom was admitted to the assisted living area for medically complex residents. $11,000 per month. This is not a nursing home staffed with nurses 24/7. There were delays in medications for my mom because an RN was not on site. The lack of nursing staff 24/7 was not disclosed or realized until much later in my mom's stay. Medication techs continued to give my mom sedation meds despite an explicit plan that they were to be held if she was over sedated. This was extremely upsetting. The techs lack the assessment skills that a nurse would have. As a retired RN, I advocated for my mom. At times, this was met with resistance. There were many frustrations. Also, we were erroneously advised by their admission/marketing staff member to wait 2-3 months to apply for Medicaid until my parents' private funds were depleted. My mom's care could have been covered by Medicaid. My request for a discount on my mom's remaining balance when she died was refused. I do want to acknowledge there are several caring staff. However, I felt compelled to be increasingly involved in my mom's care (staying with her 24/7 during the last 3 days of her life) as I lost trust and confidence in the care being provided.

We just moved from California to the Senior Community to be near family. Almost everyone is our age which means all activities and services are appropriate for us. There are no mobility barriers, a restaurant is available with one day a week included in the monthly rent. Quiet, friendly and welcoming, seasonable but with marine influence. It's very well-maintained by friendly staff. Free-Methodist, but accepting of others. Near cities and big-time shopping. Varieties of living, from separate manufactured homes and 4-plex apartments to memory care living. ALL services are available on campus, many at reduced rates.

I’m a traveling nurse and worked a shift there today. I was thoroughly impressed. This home was fully staffed in all the staff members were very courteous and helpful. They have a genuine conversations with me they seem to care deeply about the clients and the residence. The facility was extremely clean. I didn’t smell one bad room or hallway. The building has been well upgraded and decorated. The floors are made with material that if an elderly fell the floor wouldn’t be a hard landing. Yet the material imitates a nice hardwood flooring. The food actually looks like food you would cook at home yourself. It even smelled nice. The building had plenty of things to do for activities and was actually getting the residents involved. They had a shower team and she actually put the residents in the whirlpool jet tub!!! Let them soak and washed them. Top notch team. This is what nursing facilities are supposed to be like!
