My Mom has rehabbed here twice. Exceptionally caring staff. They took great care of her. She especially loved her PT & OT therapists and everybody else who helped her and us out in any way. Thank you so much.

My father is living at Waterford Crossing. He absolutely loves the food. There are activities everyday that residents can choose from. I have called and talked with administrators on numerous occasions and feel like they listen to our questions/concerns and make every attempt to answer our questions promptly. They will call back whenever I leave a message and I feel that they want the best for their residents.

My mother and father-in- law were both at Waterford Crossing over 3 years. Dad was in memory care on Legacy Lane and mom was in skilled nursing. Initially we only needed a place for mom after she suffered a major stroke. She lost the use of her legs completely and one hand was not completely functional. My grandmother had been in assisted living at Greencroft before she passed almost a decade ago. She was happy and well cared for so I sold the family on the idea and she moved to Greencroft. HUGE MISTAKE!!! They were HORRIBLY NEGLIGENT AND THERE WAS IMMENSE DERELICTION OF DUTY. The 1st day there someone put her in a LIFT chair and handed her the remote! She thought it was the TV remote and when she pushed the button, the chair began to rise. She was panicking and called my husband as the chair is lifting her to her feet. He heard her voice, screaming incoherently and then a thud and the phone hit the floor, as did mom!!! He rushed to her and found her STILL on the floor when he got there! She also was having trouble swallowing so her meds had to be crushed and put into applesauce so she could take them. While we were visiting, the nurse came in with her meds in a cup and a cup of water and was going to give them to Mary until we told her she couldn't take meds like that. She acted OFFENDED that she was corrected and proceeded to tell Mary she was going to transfer her from wheelchair to the bed. We asked where the 2nd person was to help get mom up bc we would help her since MOM'S ORDERS SPECIFICALLY STATED 2-MAN ASSISTED LIFT ONLY! The nurse looked VERY confused, I was LIVID by then and asked if she bothered to read mom's chart-- CLEARLY SHE DIDN'T. The next day when I got there I was going to sit in mom's wheelchair bc it was beside her bed when I saw 3 WHOLE PILLS LYING ON THE SEAT OF THE WHEELCHAIR! MED VIOLATION!!! I immediately went to the nurses station to address the situation. They also neglected to care for a wound she had on her bottom from when she initially had the stroke and laid in urine for several days before she was found. They didn't change her diapers enough and her wound became a massive divit in her backside that went all the way to her spine, you could see her spine the spot got SO BIG AND INFECTED!! We called Waterford Crossing and got mom inASAP. The night before her transfer to Waterford, greencroft called and said they were taking her to the ER bc she had a UTI. We KNEW as soon as we saw mom's wound they only took her to ER to cover themselves for the neglect bc Waterford Crossing would SEE what happened. As a result, she had 3 different surgeries in the divit and was on a wound vac for an entire YEAR. Waterford Crossing took THE BEST CARE of BOTH of my in-laws. They spent their final years in a beautiful and clean facility, EXCELLENT FOOD, tons of outings and activities and who doesn't love Happy Hour on Fridays with LIVE entertainment. The entire staff are EXCELLENT and it's very obvious their employees love what they do. I'm looking to put my own mom there and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND WATERFORD CROSSING!!! THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING WC, With Gratitude, The Robert and Mary Hayes Family

Assisted Living at Waterford Crossing is an excellent option for those unable to live independently. My dad was there from late October, 2023 until he passed this summer. The registration process was smooth, helped by Alex and her supportive and upbeat personality. The staff all knew by dad by name and him feel welcomed and cared for, despite the challenges he brought with him. He found community and friendship there in his last years of life, and that community was created and fostered by the excellent staff at all levels: admin, nursing, aides, food service, cleaning, etc. I haven't mentioned the facility itself, which includes views of a pond, a gazebo by another pond, a long porch with rocking chairs (where my dad loved to sit), several gathering rooms for the residents to read and socialize, and more. I highly recommend WC AL.

Our parents absolutely love being at The Residence of Waterford Crossing! The staff is exceptional and put their residents as top priority in all areas of care. The food is excellent and we never have to worry about them getting enough care and attention. Thank you to all the staff! You are truly amazing!!
