Today we met with Austin who works in Marketing. I have a friend seeking residency. He was so pleasant and could answer every question we asked. He represented Waterford Grand with class. Thank you Austin.

Do not be fooled by the “luxury” marketing. At nearly $10,000/month, residents deserve safety and compassion — instead, they get burnt food, missing narcotics without proper investigation or reports being made, and unsafe conditions such as a med tech who works in both assisted living and memory care selling street drugs to other staff. Management is heartless, caring more about appearances than their residents actual well-being. They claim to address problems but never follow through, and staff spend more time gossiping about each other or sitting on their phones than actually caring for residents. Toxic culture + poor care = a facility that should not be trusted. If I could give 0 stars I would’ve…

I had my mom in respite care. 2024 she enjoyed herself, but 2025 they hired a new person for the kitchen and the food went down hill. The time frame of a caregiver is over 20 minutes. They had pillows in the doors to outside after the doors are locked at night. Was not safe. My mother's care plan was not followed. She is wheelchair bound and needed assistance. One male caregiver told her she was a jerk over and over because she couldn't get into her bed and then he shoved her. Please consider what your loved one has needs for. This is not a place for people in wheelchairs. Way over priced for the care you receive.

I stayed in the Respite Suite at Waterford Grand for two weeks following non-weight bearing surgery. My experience was excellent. The attendants on all three shifts are uniformly upbeat, empathetic, professional and friendly, while being respectful of client boundaries. The dining options are varied, tasty, and offer several entrees at each meal. I found the other residents to be friendly and interesting. The physical layout is clean, quiet and updated. I would recommend this facility for assisting my recovery from surgery.

My Mom lived at Waterford Grand for 11 months before her death. She moved in after the death of my Dad. My parents were married nearly 70 years, so it wasn’t a complete surprise when her health took a downturn after his passing But it did mean scrambling to find her the help she needed when her independent living community told her she needed to move. What we found at Waterford was a beautiful apartment with a great view of the river. Mom and I spent many warm afternoons on her balcony watching the birds. But more importantly, we found wonderful care. The staff treated Mom with dignity, great care and respect. From the housekeeping staff to the nursing personnel, everyone was truly wonderful. Mom left us on December 5. I am comforted knowing how well cared for she was in her last year.
