Caring, personable and busy lifestyle. Facilities are well kept and there are multiple activities from which to choose.

Don't move to this facility unless you want your personal possessions stolen. My mother recently lived in both the independent and assisted sections. At both places several thefts occurred, including Godiva chocolates, a wig and glasses, both costing $300, a set of new towels, a quilt, 2 rings, and several items of new clothing. Most recently, the linens for her bed and art supplies were stolen right in front of her as she was dying. Administration will never admit that thefts are occurring. They refer to these as "losses". Nor do they bother to tell people what they are doing about it. I submitted a complaint over two weeks ago to administration. They are supposed to respond within 7 days, but I have heard nothing. What has occurred here is utterly disgusting. My mother shelled out $7,600 per month for this treatment. Also, the weekly cleaning that is promised for residents is not up to par. I complained at least twice about the noticeable dust and bathroom urine smell in her AL apartment. At one point, it looked like her place hadn't been cleaned in a month.

It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful facility with endless amenities; impossible to imagine a more wonderful staff. Lee will likely be the first person to greet you at the door. She comes in early and stays late and is the most comforting, friendly face even, and especially, in a difficult situation. The aides and nurses were incredible to our entire family which we will be forever grateful for. Highly recommend Waterford Place.

If you have the money to live here and are mobile, this place is great. The walk down to lunch was too long and you have to pay for it. When the cleaning women change the sheets on the bed they should have washed and folded the dirty sheets. My mother was aged and had a hard time doing that. After all, the prices for apartments are steep and not as big as a regular condo. We had to move her to assisted living 4 or 5 miles away because they had no openings in Waterford assisted living. That was very hard on everyone.

Waterford Place was the residence of choice after reaching the age we could no longer keep up our "gentleman's farm" in the way we desired. Moving here was a choice made after visiting many "homes." It is a very friendly place, very nice staff and friends, and we can even make our own meals without having to participate in a "meal plan"; Such independence was the main reason for coming here. We really don't miss the "farm" chores either.
