At first I was hesitant about coming here but now. that I'm here and have met so many wonderful people my own age I am not sure I want to leave. I have extended my stay from. February until. April already and only God knows what will happen now. I am so glad I came your facilities are wonderful and I would surely recommend them.

Waunakee Valley Senior Living has been a true blessing for our family. My father spent his final chapter in memory care at Waunakee Valley, and the compassion, dignity, and genuine kindness shown to him — and to us — will never be forgotten. The staff treated him not just as a resident, but as a person who mattered. They took the time to know him, to comfort him, and to ensure he was cared for with respect during a very difficult and emotional time for our family. Their empathy, professionalism, and quiet presence meant more than they will ever know. My mother continues to live at Waunakee Valley in independent living, and it brings our family great peace knowing she is in a safe, welcoming, and vibrant community. She is surrounded by caring staff, opportunities for connection, and an environment that truly supports both independence and well-being.

I would strongly caution anyone considering this facility for their loved one. In my experience, this is one of the most unprofessional senior living environments I have ever encountered. The staff treat the workplace more like a social club than a place of care and responsibility. Residents are often neglected, left sitting in soiled clothing for hours without attention or dignity. It seems the facility relies heavily on overmedicating residents, not for their health or well-being, but simply to make them easier to manage. This is deeply concerning. Furthermore, it appears that hiring standards are not enforced — individuals with questionable backgrounds are hired through loopholes, thanks to a scheduler who seems to operate without accountability. Any employees who genuinely cared about the residents have either left or been pushed out. Sadly, it has become clear that this facility prioritizes profit over people. If you want your loved one to be treated with respect, compassion, and proper care, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Our family is incredibly grateful to Waunakee Valley Senior Living. After my father left the hospital we were worried he would never be able to return home. The personalized therapy plan they created made a huge difference — not only in his mobility and strength but also in his confidence and independence. The therapists were patient, encouraging, and highly skilled in working with Parkinson’s patients, using techniques that were both challenging and motivating. We saw real improvements that we hadn’t thought possible, and the kindness of the entire staff (especially Bobbie) made the experience even better. Knowing he was in such good hands gave our family so much peace of mind. We can’t thank the team enough for the outstanding care and support they provided!

Waunakee Valley was a true experience for me never thinking I'd need assistance as much as I did. I needed to become a resident for OT/PT after having major surgery on my ankle needing a cast and help with mobility such as using a scooter. The staff at Waunakee Valley welcomed me from my hospitalization and provided everything from a private, spacious, clean, equipped room to professional help when ever needed with my activities of daily living, medical information, prompt always meeting my needs. I love the great outdoors and they even welcomed me into a beautiful, private, spacious, well-groomed court yard. If I ever needed anything from medication to food to more information of my post-operative state the staff was readily available. Waunakee Valley is a neat, accommodating facility that has warm-hearted, congenial, educated, experienced staff. The residents are so kind and friendly and I found that they are all products of their environment. Everyone was so nice and open to each other. I've been in the Medical profession for more than 50 years and I look at Waunakee Valley as the number one place that I would suggest to people who ask me for the best place to take their loved one. I can back myself up in so many ways why I would choose Waunakee Valley over any other place. I, with my family are very satisfied that we now have our mother who is 94 years old at Waunakee Valley.
