Mayelin was a great help today and I truly appreciate his support. I gave her the highest rating because she went above and beyond. Mayelin also took the time to help me and my mom complete the Medicaid application. She was patient and kind and made sure we understood everything throughout the process. My mom has been in the community for over six months now and we are very happy with the care and support she has received. We are grateful for such a compassionate dedicated team.

There are so many positive things to say about Wayman Place, it is hard to know where to start. My mom recently lost her home and we were struggling to find a local, safe place for her to live within a very short time frame. Bobbie, the Executive Director, went above and beyond not only to help me secure a room for my mom, but also was genuinely interested in who she is as a person so that this could be the best experience for her. She visited my mom at the rehabilitation center where she was staying and coordinated her transfer over to Wayman Place. My mom has been there a few days now, and we continue to be overwhelmed at how kind and welcoming everyone is. They are really working with my mom to help her feel comfortable in her new environment, even though they have so much to do. You can tell that everyone who works there gets along, and Bobbie speaks so highly of her team. Another thing that impressed me was how familiar the staff are with all of their residents. A special thank you to Lenecia(sp?) and Raheem, the Maintenance director, who has been helping my mom with her TV remote questions!

Staff is welcoming enough yes. However, who ever handles their finances at any given month, is an epic failure! For 8 months, 3 people, handling their finances have been harassing me about March check that was allegedly was short $166.94. Now anyone with a half a brain would question the how a check for $1300.00 ends up as a check for $1133.06 on their end. Instead, I got 8 months of continuous phone calls from 3 different people handling financing and statements with balance of $166.94. Even after I emailed them the check they claimed it was short for March, I'm still getting statements with balance over due. At this point, I'm so fed up, that after the next call and or over due balance statement, I will sue Wayman's place for harassment! It's the only way they will fix their own mistake and leave me alone.

My father has been a resident hat Wayman Place for a little while now, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the care he’s received. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and patient—always treating him with kindness and respect. They’ve gone above and beyond to make sure he feels comfortable, supported, and engaged every day. His health has improved dramatically since moving in—he’s eating better, staying active, and even looks forward to the daily activities. There’s a great variety of things for residents to do, from social gatherings to exercise classes—even Tai Chi, which he loves! The environment feels warm and welcoming, and the team clearly takes pride in what they do. It’s such a relief knowing he’s in good hands and surrounded by people who truly care. I highly recommend this facility to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will thrive.
