Worst experience ever. Owner Jill refuses to pay what you already worked for.

My father has lived at Wedgewood for almost 2 years. It started out nice to win you over, but it has gone downhill fast. They can't keep staff, and the ones they do have must have been found off the street with no training on how to care for the elderly and their needs. My father has sat in his own waste waiting for someone to assist him. Food has gone downhill. Don't even ask about medicine... Do NOT take your loved one there!!!

There is a huge disconnect between the directors and the caregivers. The caregivers are not trained, do not practice simple hand washing, zero compassion, and at times have refused to answer their pagers. This place is referred to as “Wedgehood”, wish I would have known that before moving my loved one in.

Just a heads up. If you have a loved one that passes away, people that work there or whomever is allowed in the rooms will steal object from their rooms while the families have to wait until funeral arrangements are made. Which can be weeks due to Covid. We just had a loved one pass here and came to the room to find multiple items missing. Also they are requesting payment for next month because a 30 day notice wasn’t issued when the resident passed away unexpectedly. Not sure I see the logic in that. Anyways stay away from this place unless you want items missing or have erroneous charges. They have no compassion.

I was surprised to see one reviewer leave such a negative review of Wedgewood South. My mother lived here for about a year and half, and on the whole, she had a good experience. The staff was responsive and always treated her with the utmost care and dignity. Everyone there became like family to us. Mom's only disappointment was with the food. The menu seemed bland and repetitive and sometimes arrived cold. If they could have provided more appetizing meals, I would have given them 5 stars.
