Exceptional care facility in the central Wisconsin area! My wife and I researched all Assisted Living Facilities in the area for my mother. We rated things like: home cooked meals, low turn-over of staff, staff-to-resident ratio, range and variety of activities for the residents, quality of rooms, special holiday gatherings, birthday celebrations, etc. While a couple facilities in the area had similar high ratings, my mother, after visiting, choose Wellington Place at Whiting. It was her decision and she has been extremely happy living there. At least once a week, she tells us that it feels like her second home. She likes that it is a smaller facility and loves the home cooked meals! We sleep easier knowing she is well taken care of, and most importantly, treated with respect by the staff at Wellington Place at Whiting. UPDATE: Near the end of her life and her passing, the staff was exceptional in how they showed deep, loving care for my mother (and our family). In her time at Wellington Place, my mother had the best last years of her life because of this facility, the caring staff, and the love and respect she experienced every single day.

My mother has been a resident at Wellington Place for 5 months, and I have many good things to say about this experience. The residence is very cozy, clean, and homey. I have found the staff always friendly, caring, and accommodating, including during mealtime. The food is very good! It's like one big family here, and I have come to know almost everyone by name. I'm confident that Wellington Place is the best place facility for my mother, at this time in her life. Thank you. I was in town visiting every day for the past week and I stand by everything I said 2 months ago and I want to add 3 things that impressed me. Catheter care: I observed staff coming in every day after lunch and emptying and recording the output. On two evenings, staff correctly resolved issues regarding whether the catheter was working or not. The first time they determined that the catheter wasn't functioning correctly and promptly had it changed. The second time, the catheter was functioning, while my mom thought it wasn't. Staff thought it was due to a cramp and they correctly assessed the situation again. Secondly, I was impressed on how well they handled a power outage on 4-11 in the evening around resident bedtime. I was there earlier that day when they had a fire drill. They also reviewed tornado procedures at that time. Thinking they might be without lights as I was staying just a few blocks away, I was sure I didn't need to come in because they showed much competence in the drills and also in the interactions we've had. The next day when at my mom's table, residents appeared unphased by the emergency. They said staff communicated and instructed them. One woman nonchalantly got out a flashlight and continued reading until power returned. Thirdly, when my mom asked to be taken for a walk after dinner, the aides assisted with that right away. It takes two aides. The aides were enthusiastic and cheered her on to walk with youthful vigor that my mom is apparently quite responsive to. I am grateful to Wellington for helping restore my Mom's health. She is able to walk again after a fall that immobilized her for weeks. It is a place my family has convened and reunited.

Mom was moved to Wellington Place at Whiting from a different assisted living facility due to declining care. Kristan was so helpful in providing information about Wellington and what they had to offer. Mom’s transition was not easy at first but the staff at Wellington was very caring. Mom settled in and received excellent care and had a room that overlooked green grass. She was very comfortable there during her stay. The staff was very attentive and met her needs. Great activities and entertainment were offered each week. Management provided excellent communication and guided us through the process when it was time to put Mom under Hospice care. Our family will be forever grateful for the care she received.

We want to give a shout out to The Wellington Family. Yes, you're considered family to Bruce and me. You take excellent care of Mom, as if she were your own mother. The atmosphere at Wellington is homey, cozy, warm, bright, inviting and fun, making it a pleasure to visit everyone. Thank you, Bruce S. and Nannette M.

Great people providing good care! My mom moved to Wellington from another local facility and boy there was a big difference!! The staff was friendly, caring and respectful. They catered to my mom....personal preferences for dressing, bathing, activities, bed time and meals are accommodated. Special needs were met. I experienced great communication with the staff even though I lived a thousand miles away. It’s not just a job...the staff here cares about each resident. They did a great job keeping residents safe during COVID.
