WELLS POINT LODGE

This is an outstanding assisted living facility- the most caring, personable- and nice people have somehow come together and this one place. It is always bustling with activities for residents and so caring. The moment we entered into Wells Point we knew we had found my Mom's home!! Everyone is helpful and will love your loved ones like their own!!

What a gentle, caring place. I am eternally grateful to the people at Wells Point Lodge for the loving care they showed my father in the last months of his life. I will never forget their many kindnesses toward me, my mother and brother, and especially toward my father. He enjoyed the community-focused nature of Wells Point and the extra attention the folks in the kitchen paid to getting him the food he wanted (strawberry shakes!). We all appreciated the care he received from the people who helped him get around as his abilities declined. If he had to live outside his own home, this is the best possible place I can imagine him living. As with all senior living facilities, there were communication glitches, but at Wells Point, everyone was willing to take the time to set things right after any confusion. The people managing Wells Point are top notch, and they make sure they have the right people in place to do the many jobs required for residents. I am just so grateful for all of them.

I moved both of my parents, after four years at various other independent and assisted living facilities in Round Rock and Georgetown to Heatherwilde Assisted Living about three years ago. All of the other facilities had some positives, but obviously enoughs negatives to precipitate moving, which is hard on your loved ones as well as yourself. I mention this only to give context to this review. Mom passed away last year, but Dad is still living at Heatherwilde. Of all of the places in which they have lived, Heatherwilde is most definitely the best and it happens to be the least expensive. One of the things that will tell you a lot about a facility is how long the staff stick around. There are several, employees that have been at the facility since we first moved Mom and Dad in. Although not a new facility the premises is always clean and neat as are the staff. The decor is beautiful and the staff decorate for every holiday and hold special events for each. There are MANY activities available for residents, and although my parents don't participate, many residents do and they staff are amazing in their enthusiasm. My Dad can be difficult in temperament and says things I wish he wouldn't, but the staff is very patient and kind with him. I didn't give five stars because no place is perfect and we have had challenges like all places where humans meet, but Heatherwilde has been a clean, safe haven for my parents and any bumps along the way have been worked out satisfactorily and I am very happy with the care my Father receives.

Our family chose Heatherwilde Assisted Living for our parents 4 years ago because we knew someone who lived there and she highly recommended it. Mother passed away in June 2018 but Dad still resides there. He likes the staff, the food and the activities Staff members greet you when you visit and are responsive to requests and concerns. Susan LaBree, the facility administrator is helpful and easy to communicate with. I visit a couple of times a week and the facility is always clean, seasonally decorated and pleasantly lit. There are activities for residents to enjoy such as morning devotional, visits from school kids, and holiday dinners. My father considers it his home and our family is grateful for the excellent care and support he receives.

I would just like to say that Heatherwilde Assisted Living is an exceptionally well run facility because of Susan Labree the administrator. My wife has had her mother and daddy both at Heatherwilde until they passed away and they were both very very well cared for. I now have my mother at Heatherwilde and she has been a resident at the facility going on her fourth year. She has been exceptionally well cared for during her stay at Heatherwilde. Susan runs a very well maintained facility that is always clean and you can tell the residents are happy. I would recommend this Assisted Living to anyone looking for neat, clean, well run facility for a loved one.
